Some of you with newer Macs might recognize this. It's expanded and enhanced about as well as I could manage in Gimp. . I'm not staring down her cleavage, I'm trying to figure out what's on her shirt. Is it English? Arabic? Math? Impossible to determine from this? If anyone has better hints about recovering small image details from parts that were shrunk to about three pixels wide, let me know. I tried several resize interpolations; bicubic kept the most detail and from there it was pretty much a matter of sharpening radius, but there's just so much you can do. . Maybe some of you net-stalkers can find out who she is and just ask! . _H*
What's the picture have to do with newer Macs? I ask because if the picture's on my wife's Mac I could scrutinize it for myself.

It must be pretty easy to do, I see it in the movies all the time, particularly movies from the early 90's. I watched Species last weekend, and they were able to enhance a grainy security camera picture into a clear image of Natasha Henstridge (there's a movie for you, Jayman - she's even Canadian I just found out). MacGyver's friends could do that too. Somehow it never works the same for the pictures I need to enhance... But if it's part of a video, there might be some averaging algorithms out there. I have an astronomy friend who can get really clear pictures of actual heavenly bodies by taking dozens of pictures (all aimed exactly the same way at stationary, low-light subjects) and running it thru one of these algorithms.
I liked that photo enhancing scene in BladeRunner a lot better. Oh, and BladeRunner is light years better with the Director's Cut, I really hated that annoying Harrison Ford voiceover MMMMmmmmm heavenly bodies ......
