Prius Team invites LA & SF to meet the 2010 Prius

If my aging memory isn't failing me, Toyota expressly touted greater width to rear entry. I think wheel well to wheel well was supposed to have increased 2.5".

For those attending the SF event on the 8th, if they won't be printed on our name tags, it'd be great for those of us from Priuschat to write our handles on the name tags. That way, we can better put a face to a handle.

They will do that, I put my first name down, Pat then (KK6PD) on the same first name line and just Last name on that line. When I showed up, TADA!! There it was. Pat (KK6PD) Sullivan

A Great Time Was Had By All

 

I got an invite for the SF Prius Connection, but the 'Please select your local dealer' field had no relevant SF Bay Area Toyota dealers.

Any ideas on what happened and what I should do? Just pick a random dealer ?

We did have one celebrity sighting!
The red-headed lady with the 2 small dogs running around off-leash.
(not sure what her name was but i've seen her on TV/movies)
Her one dog did his business (#2) right on the Nokia Theater Stage close to the Blue Metallic Prius!

glad i dug up this thread - i was dreading trying to contact someone at toyota to find out if bringing cameras to this event was okay... given the "driving impressions" embargo i was a little worried, but i can see lots of people took photos in LA, so i guess its fine

We're in the Los Angeles area. We're 11th on the waiting list, at our local dealership, for the 2010 Prius. We plan on trading our 2004 Prius, for the new 2010. My wife loves this car!

Hill's missus is hot. I doubt she is in her 50s, I suspect she had a fake ID when she was 12 but she never reverted to telling the truth about her age.

Last time I saw a picture of her I thought she was a movie or TV celebrity!

 

I attended the SF show today and it was absolutely amazing. First class treatment by Toyota and the test drive was very nice

One interesting note is that our Toyota representative that accompanied us on the test drive was wearing a TRD jacket and his name tag was Tony Hunt. I mentioned that I knew of a Tony Hunt that races and he said "thats me" He's sponsored by Toyota and was also at the LA event last weekend. He represented Toyota very well and has his upcoming race schedule listed at www.tonyhunt.com

Just got back from SF meet and it was an absolute blast. A+ to Toyota on hosting such a great meet. I have to say the new prius looks way too cool.. especially the interior with Nav. My fav feature has to be the park assist.
