Hey Bruce, I have news for you, well some for you and some for everyone.
First, refrigeration has made its way to the UK. From when I was in the north of England, (3 visits of 3 to 4 weeks) I can tell you a shit load of cold ale found its way down my throat which was pulled behind several different bars around Burnley. So I can tell you the poms like a cold drop now days.

My other news is I have received an invite to the Prius Reveal in Melbourne!! How cool is that?

I'll pull Sean out of school early and we'll drive over on Friday, have booked a hotel room less than half a kilometre away from the convention centre then a short walk to the convention centre for breakfast with Toyota!

They are doing breakfast and free entry to the Motor Show!!
I'm almost as excited as I was on 4th of January!!
I'll make sure I get pictures.

And you get to avoid flying to an area where the toilets swirl backward! How can you beat that?

Our toilets don't swirl at all, how do you beat that?

I have never seen such strange toilets as in the USA.

The best thing is I can just drive my Prius for 7.5 hours instead of sitting for 14 hours in worn out QANTAS seats.
Saddest is I won't be seeing all my Prius Chat mates there, bugga!!

    I'd like a baby blue/periwinkle.

I think I saw a picture of a baby blue/periwinkle Gen II on the net (think it was at an auto show in Japan).

The Honda Fit comes in a nice baby blue/periwinkle.

Wonder if the Insight will come in the same color.

I did not know that, Cool I was wondering if They were doing anything from a manufacturing point of view to improve the Prius' carbon footprint. I did remember reading something like this but couldn't remember if it was the Prius or another car. Kudos to Toyota!

Im planning on going to the Melbourne Motorshow on Sunday, I will be getting heaps of pics of the Honda Insight, Toyota Prius and Toyota Camry Hybrid Concept.

Im also really excited to see the next gen Golf and the next gen Mazda 3 there.

Oh and Honda Australia is finally importing the Civic Hatch from the UK to Australia starting July this year, so that should hopfully be there too.

Note: According to Detroit Auto Show announcements, 2010 Camry goes on sale this year, and the only changes to the HyCam are the fascia, the instrument cluster, and the sound (adding USB etc.) and maybe the nav. People here will be curious if the stereo and nav will be the same as on the new Prius and Venza, and whether any portion of the new instrumentation from the 2010 Prius is also showing up on the 2010 HyCam (or maybe the HUD the Europeans are getting?).

    I've lost my bloody camera.
Don't matter, I have a big old 3MP camera which takes excellent photos.
I'll be grabbing a heap of pictures and specs.

I want to try and con a drive of the new Prius out of Toyota Australia, don't like my chances much but ...

The poms developed a taste for cold beer I think when the European Union allowed them to buy fridges from the continent. I'm not sure Prince Lucas even makes a light fitting these days. I think he is having trouble finding his front door to go to work these days since he refitted his home with Lucas light fittings and electrical looms.

I won't be there on Friday, the Toyota event is on Saturday. If I wasn't taking Sean I would be on my way there now but because he has school I thought it better to allow him to do his morning lessons then we will leave here at 12 midday so he only misses his afternoon lessons. We will arrive at our hotel about 9PM and then a short walk to the Convention centre where the Motor Show is being held, to arrive before 9AM for breakfast with the 3G Prius. As soon as I can I'll post pictures of the Aussie Prius and the features we will see offered here in Australia.
