When I try to do that I get an irrational number. I must be doing something wrong.

Delivery was June 24, 2008, and we have been enjoying it ever since.

Now have 15000 trouble free miles on it, and would consider a "his" and "hers" situation.

Technical aspects first attracted me to it, but now appreciate the whole package.

    Age 75

Why are they so expensive, compared to the US? Currency exchange rate, taxes imposed by the government, volume of business (high distributer overheads)?
I would imagine shipping costs are somewhat lower from Japan to Oz and NZ aren't they?

40-49 here, but the 13 year old will learn how to drive in the Prius. That's a fitting start, considering her future will probably be gas-free at some point.

Boy, that's gonna kill my mileage!

    Ron,
Prius here is 1.72 Corolla sedans
Prius in the USA is 1.43 Corolla sedans in price.
Price comparison is the cheapest Corolla V cheapest Prius in each market.
I don't know why except they can.
The situation is worse in En Zed.

What I like more here is the 70+ range people's gusto for a 21st century car as the Prius, much more than so many youngers only thinking in macho cars.
(It's the redundant moto in our country car forums, only BMW and Audi seem to serve for something).

    I'm only 40-49, so I don't qualify.

When I first replied, this was not a poll, rather just a forum question. This has changed, though the new format has the blue bars against a blue background. Click-n-drag shows the bar spread.

So I'm going to nit pick here - this is a forum, not a chat (which implies real time conversation). The point, regardless of the setting, is that not everyone wishes to reveal their age in a "public" forum. Thus, a poll with age ranges may entice additional responses and provides a visual age spread as well.

    Thanks for playing ;-)

The bar weightings must be inverted. The 16 - 19 yo's and the 70+ yo's have the longest bars.

Why is that? She's not an adult yet and as a child you do stupid stuff a normal adult wouldn't.
I'm 38, by the way, and I've met people that I'm sure are a lot more evil than that celebrity will ever be.

The age distribution looks pretty even except for 50-59. I myself am 23, got the Prius at 22. IIRC I think I've put 7,000 miles on it so far. Great car. Just the other day I was unloading stuff from it at night, I had the headlights on, dome lights on, MFD and dash lights, radio and A/C on, couldn't hear anything from outside. I like this car more every day.

I am 24 and just bought a used 2005 Prius that I could actually afford! With 14,025 miles on the clock, I paid $17500 dollars for a package 6 salsa red. I was on the waiting list for a Smart Fortwo, and even recieved an e-mail on Dec 11 that my car was arriving in 90 days. I decided to go out car shopping, to be sure there was no better deals on the market. Dec 12, I was driving out of the Toyota Dealer with a used Prius. Needless to say, I am extremly satisfied with my Prius.

I am 75 going on 76. My wife is 70 going on 71. Our Prius was purchased Apr '07.
However, our 1st hybrid was a Honda, a 2003 model. At our age, we were the 1st ones in our neighborhood to own a hybrid. I still remember the stares and thoughts of the neighbors signifying: Is he nuts to go with such a new piece of technology like that, and to pay so much for it? No longer are we the odd couple in our neighborhood.

Hey, this is an age-ist post, isn't it? More than 15 million of us are in their 80's and over, and we're Prius drivers, too.

I am curious about this form for expressing ages. Does "going on" imply that you are over half way through the year from your birthday, or is it simply a redundant expression, explaining that you age one year at a time?
