With all due respect, Tony, a Prius event without Tony is like a day without...without...WITHOUT! Sunshine or not...

I wonder if FireEngineer is going? He could take the missus to this one maybe. She'd love it.

Yes I am going and yes the Mrs. will be thrilled, as soon as I tell her. By the way, dress is business casual and if you intend to get in and out of the cars then a dress might be not be the best.

Looking forward to seeing all of you in Chicago - but I will not be rolling around on the floor. Time to go study for the trivia test. . . .

    Have fun everybody.

At the New York City show, they gave out the coolest water bottle ever:

Go on it's fun. How will you see under the car if you don't lay on the floor?
Wayne will be there, he is a good under car guide, ask Rae.

Hey Shana - wanna roll around under a Prius? Does sound like fun doesn't it?

And Wayne, Fiona will have you know she is a lady & she's not sure that Mrs Fire Engineer would be please to know that you've been checking on her "nether regions".

Since I'm traveling with Shana, Fiona won't be there, but I'll bring her picture along.

So, since my flight arrives in the AM, I'm planning to ride the blueline downtown and then spend a few hours wandering through the Art Institute and then through Millenium Park to my hotel. Anyone have any other suggestions or must see or do activities for me?

Good to see that you care enough about the 2010 to travel from TX. If you like pizza at all, then I suggest you find a place to eat Chicago pizza. That's one of the items on my list next time I visit that city.

I'm sure you'll get a ton of suggestions, and a lot depends upon how much time you have and what you like to do. But, for me, no trip to Chitown is complete without a visit to the Field Museum. I try to hit the Shedd Aquarium too b/c it's so close. The Museum of Science and Industry is great as well, but a bit off the beaten path...but the trolly/bus is easy to take.

IMO you can skip Navy Pier, but a lot of people seem to like it.

Tuesday is supposed to be a beautiful day in Chicago. Maybe a trip to the top of the Sears Tower is in order for "ggood". Don't know if it's Ms Ggood or Mr Ggood, but there are some interesting stores on N Michigan Avenue - Niketown, Water Tower Place, etc. The Art Institute is the "can't miss" attraction - but you might like to take a ride around the loop on the El just for the experience.
I'm going to be spending the day in Chicago with a college roommate before I meet you all at the event. I'm letting her plan the day.

    Now we're talking!

Go see the famous Chicago Water Tower. It's the architectural inspiration for White Castle hamburger restaurant buildings.

And I assume there's also a White Castle restaurant nearby.

You have to wave through the windows of the TV studios, that's a must!
Meet Wayne (FireEngineer) and his wife, they are worth the trip on their own.
Wayne knows some great pizza places.

Yeah, well my wife is investigating my family history for signs of insanity. :mod: I keep telling her it's a cheap, harmless hobby, but that may not work so well if Toyota prices those options too high!

Guess I need to find a good pizza joint near the Art Institute.

Apparently, there's a museum trolley. Anyone know where to catch it to go between the Art Institute and the Field Museum, or have a better idea (don't want to wear myself out walking)?
