There was also a slideshow with quotes from various people. I saw some from some guy named "patsparks" and another from a "Tideland Prius", among others.

I wouldn't believe either of those clowns.

I believe the technical term is "nice person-clowns".

    Well, derr!

Tom, have you been watching through the window or did I tell you about my sex life when I was drunk on Sunday night?

If I pull the trigger on the 2010, you can play with mine. :D

Which means, BTW, I'll have a babied 2005 for sale, if you know anyone who might be interested.

I have question that I haven't seen answered. Since you won't be able to get a backup camera without NAV, how is the rear view through the hatch area. Is there still that bar there?

Yes, the rear view is as bad as ever. The bar is still there, as is that huge triangular blindspot in each rear corner, created by the design of the rear quarter panel and sloping hatch.

Yep, the spoiler is still there. I think it looks narrower. It never bothered me anyway. As far as I can see a window is a window. The side mirrors are wider from the body so give a better rear view.

I had a good time at the NYC show tonight.

Nice to meet some PriusChatters I hadn't met before -- JimN, barbaram, paprius4030 and others. (But I wish they had put our screen names on the name tags like they did in Detroit. That way I could put names to faces.) And nice to meet others from CleanMPG and elsewhere too.

Food was good -- choice of fresh ravioli with choice of sauce; beef, chicken and fish kebobs; excellent salad; great bread (like ligurian focaccia with rosemary, but chewier with less olive oil and salt); good hor dourves.

Alcohol was good, e.g., Absolut vodka.

The three 2010 Priuses there were the exact same three cars they had in Detroit. And the clear drivetrain model still had FireEngineer's engine block heater in it.

And the Toyota folks were great too. Some of them, like Stephanie (Toyota hostess/presenter), were also in Detroit.

And last but not least, good swag! Cool stainless steel water bottle with PRIUS printed on it in blue. Plus wildflower seeds embedded in dissolvable paper shaped like the 2010 Prius -- just plant the whole thing in soil.

    Thanks Prius Team.

    Hi Tom,

Thanks for the NYC recap! Glad to know that the EBH survived Detroit, Wash. DC, and now NYC.

Also, its nice to hear that more cool Prius gifts were handed out.

How cool is that, I'd have loved a water bottle. Hope I don't sound ungrateful because I am extremely grateful for what I got. The seeds for me would have been an illegal import so a no go for me, I think I was offered them but knocked them back. It may have been Rene I saw with them. Were there any boomerangs?

Good to hear everyone is getting a chance to see the new Prius and be spoilt by Toyota, not that we all aren't spoilt by Toyota every day. It is well worth a drive to see the Gen III, I travelled for about 20 hours flying time for a look!!

No seeds. Water bottle sounds cool, but I already have several stainless and non-BPA plastic ones. More clutter.
I'm happy with the small bonus gifts we got :)

I'd like a couple of those bottles, would be happy to buy them if there was a place.

I love my water bottle. I also like thermoses and coolers.

The blue Prius lettering changes shades depending on the light.

I'd trade a water bottle for one of those cool HSD keychains, but I'm sure people want the keychains more than a water bottle! lol But hey, if there's someone out there I'm game...
