Prius on "The Office" - as a weapon

New episode? I hate it when they only have new episodes every few weeks. I always miss them. I'll have to download when its available on bittorrent.

 

I swear I see a Prius on every show I watch!
Silver one on Criminal Minds this week, someone defaced it too with red paint.

There are so many now, but I think the entertainment industry is using them to make a statement about being green?
Subtle advertising..........wonder if Toyota provides them.

 

"The Prius is silent if he keeps it under 5 mph." -Oscar.

Not sure where they came up with that.

 

Tire noise, although it's not an exact figure. That's pretty much true with any modern car, hybrid or otherwise, unless you are driving something designed to make noise (fart can, stacks, etc.)

New cars are quiet. The engines in new cars are quiet. Mostly all you hear in a parking lot are the crunching tires.

As for the dialog on the show, where did they get it? Probably pulled it out of their rear ends like almost all TV dialog.

The wife and I have seen several on the Silver Screen. Most were in the background but a couple were being driven by the main character.

 

The worst part about the scene on "The Office" was watching Dwight beat Andy's Prius with a chain while he was pinned against the fence. Isn't there a law in Scranton (the supposed locale of "The Office") against Prius-abuse????

 

I saw one last year where the main character got into her Prius, closed the driver's door, and then we hear the sound of a standard starter.

Me too. Especially when Oscar says about Andy "he deserves to win" due to his novel use of the car.

 

There's even a Andy vs Dwight flash game. One of Andy's attacks is with the Prius! :

Around a year ago, somebody sent me a YouTube link that featured a snip from Family Guy. In the scene, baby Stewie and Brian the dog go to a bar, get s***faced, and Stewie tries to drive Brian's Prius

You clearly hear the starter engage, then baby Stewie crashes through the wall. That link doesn't work anymore, but this one appears to.

You'll also notice that Stewie asks for the "keys"
