PriusChat is on its way to Detroit!

It's pretty brutal here. By that I mean three inches of snow with no salt or sand on the roads recently. The traction control and abs is working overtime today. The Traffic is moving very slowly, accidents sprinkled all over, expected to snow until midnight, then you guys should be okay tomorrow.
Um, if I was coming in from AZ, I would prepare for Tuesday's high of -16C (three degrees US). Enjoy the show. I might try and hit the "industry preview" day-not that I work in the industry, but for the extra money you get to avoid the huge crowds on the public days.

When is the big date? What day is the unveiling?

 

It would be nice to keep all such recounting of the event in ONE,
or maybe two, threads, as the leadup to the event has been way
too fraught with "too many threads creep" and it's been almost
impossible to keep track.

... not sure if i'll make it or not... everything keeps going wrong. no cell charger, 2 dead batteries, missing luggage bags... not sure where they went.. but i may have to use a normal backpack.. o well.. laptop crapped out on me... etc..

i was going to cancel a few days ago.. but.. i'm Trying to convince myself i'll be happier ON this trip. another part of me wants to drag it down and make it miserable for others... i get up to leave in 5 hours... (if i go)

In any event, don't worry about your laptop, since computers will be available for our use in Detroit.

I would love to be there, meet my own personal gurus like yourself, Hobbit, Bob Wilson, and all the others who I read constantly at yahoo's PTS group and here.

Unfortunately it is too far away for me, and the expenses would be huge. I will have to make myself happy in the latter Geneve auto show where the European version will be presented.

Well, the info really isn't privileged anymore, but I'll let others speak for themselves. They might choose to stay low profile. But I'm in, sitting in RIC as we speak awaiting my (delayed) flight. Yeehaw!
