It's not much different than those that enjoy going to Renaissance Festivals, Fantasy Faires, paint themselves in team colors for football games, put their time, money, and energy into classic cars, or however they indulge their recreation needs.

I've been known to dress up for occasions, too.

 

In Trekker/Trekky livery, I presume.

As far as Posting, here's my usual obstacle to posting:

Merri does like to be on my lap most of the time...

 

I've done a few Ren Faires. I used to dance on the green prior to the plays at the Old Globe during the summer before they replaced the grass with concrete. That was many pounds ago. Still have my costume. (I have a star trek next gen costume in the attic along with a phaser and a few pins with soundboards.)

I've been to some fan conventions too. I'm going to a Highlander Con in April.

And I collect...teddy bears. Sorry, have no childhood bear. Perhaps that's why I collect. Didn't start seriously until I was in my 40s.

 

I've got Ren Faire garb but no time to go anymore. I also don't collect anything but credits for my degree right now. I'm not giving myself time for anything until I have my Bachelor's degree. :cheer2:

 

I don't care what other people think, this car is brilliant. When I saw my first Prius, I thought it looked exactly like a shuttlecraft or DS9 runabout.

Where did you get the neat steering wheel cover?

I wouldn't dare do that to mine, but hey...if you like it, who is anyone else to say otherwise. I would compare that to certain projects...modding out a PC, customizing a motorcycle, or something similar.

BTW...i'm really looking forward to the new Trek movie. It looks pretty bad nice person. I remember also going to the premier of Generations...the place was packed with people dressed as Star Trek characters (I was not)...it was quite a hoot, but even better watching a movie with a bunch of enthused fans.

I love your car! I happen to be lucky enough to count as one of my friends one of Captains of the Enterprise ...and I'm going to email him the link to your site. He'll get a kick out of it.

As for me, I like Renn Faires....and I originally wanted a black 2010 ro convert into a hybrid Batmobile. Since I ended up with classic silver, maybe I can outfit it sometime to look like the time machine from Back to the Future. If the car were white, I'd outfit it to be the front cab of a Disney World Monorail train (I have CDs of the announcement that they play when you board the train). I'll admit, ever since I've been widowed I've been going through a sort of sencond childhood...but heck, it also makes life much more fun!
