i am pretty sure it is back of the handle :).

idea is that to make it natural to press the "switch" without grabbing the handle, so switch is at the back of the handle and not front.

Same goes for Crown in Japan, which is first vehicle that I know that came with new pressure sensitive button.

I could be wrong, but it looks like a pic from a passenger side door, unless the handle is reversed.

I'm waiting for a pic that shows a gas tank without the bladder system...

Will a swipe suffice? Or do you have to press down as if it's a button?

You are all very wrong. This is the inside of the door. It is a new feature targeted at the needs of middle aged women, .....extra cold air vents!

I bet it will have the gas tank system of the TCH with an active vapor recovery system.

What is the official stated capacity on that tank? And how much does it typically take to fill it from 1 pip?

My Prius has no bladder and has a fuel capacity of 45 litres. Most I have put in, in one fill is 42 litres.
Do the conversion yourself, I used international units. :D

European Prius owner here... our tank has no bladder either.

When the reserve dot starts to blink I put one of my trip counters to zero and wait till I have 100 kms done. After doing 100 km I fill it up.

The pump always triggers at about 47 or 48 litres, then I put some more till it reaches a round number. You can reach 49 or 50 litres quite easily.

One second point: Our European Prius have the SKS button on both front doors, i.e. passenger included, as well as on the trunk door. Do your american version ones only have it on the driver door???

No, we also have it on driver's door, passenger's door, and hatch.

Does the price of petrol always drop in that 100km?
I'm just wondering why you do this and risk running out, after all you then squeeze in more than the rated capacity so it must get very low. I'd fill up 100 to 200 km earlier but I don't like to fall off the edge.

I do about 90 km per day, so basically I fill up the next day. Sometimes the price drops meanwhile, some times doesn't.

I don't risk anything at all actually. Reserve has 6.5 liters in the >2004 Prius, so even if I drove like a lunatic I would have to do 6.5 l/100 km to run out of gasoline in that distance. Even now with these low temperatures I'm doing about 5 liters per 100 km, so no risk at all as you can see.

Actually for about 1 month now there is a sales promotion that only occurs at weekends taking 6 cents off per litre, so I fill up every weekend cause doing this many km per day I can't do 2 full weeks. The most I did on one single tank was 1306 km, with an average of 3.7 litres. Considering I do a mixed cycle, local roads, high-way and heavy city traffic, I was most pleased to succeed doing it ;)

Please note that Toyota has changed its smart entry policy in latest models... Corolla/Auris get only drivers door smart entry... Yaris has drivers door and hatch, while Rav4 gets front doors and hatch...

I am not sure what version will Prius get, I would not be suprised if it is out of passanger door...

    Low cost versions eh?

Our Corolla gets front doors and boot so the same as the Prius. It would be nice if the next Prius gets it on all doors. It'll solve the issue of those wanting to unlock the rear doors to load the kids (and have it programmed so the door they open is the only one that unlocks)

i am pretty sure all doors are out of question... only Land Cruiser has it now in Toyotas....

2 doors and back door should be more than enough...
