Here it is . . . and it may not be pretty, but it works! AND it is almost pick-pocket and/or lose proofed! View attachment 11857 Fold a couple of dollar bills in half, wrap over the PRIUS SmartKey, and stretch a regular rubber band around the lot about three times. Done! It is not very pretty, especially after a month or two, but NOTICE . . . the very expensive key is still in your pocket - and so is the couple of bucks that you attached! JohnC :]
I use these: prius fob case, eBay Motors items on eBay.com Sturdy leather case, protects FOB in the event it is dropped.
Actually, the Gen 2 fobs CAN be reprogrammed by the user. See here: http://priuschat.com/forums/knowled...lly-how-program-non-sks-key-fob-detailed.html However, I'm not sure how to do it for the Gen 1 Prius. Anyone? :noidea:
