Awesome is RIGHT! I like the metallic paint -- is that what it is? Not fond of the yellow, but both the yellow and the orange have a great sheen!

DeLorean wings? Nah.

 

The photo may be real, but '09?
The reason I say the photo might be real is that I read somewhere that they had kits for modifying cars to have DeLorean type doors.

Displaying a Prius with a custom paint job and wild doors is a sign of acceptance by car enthusiasts. This is real progress!

Most car magazines either ignore the Prius, or dismiss it as a gutless econobox for treehuggers. This is one that they can present in a positive fashion, even if it doesn't have an 800 hp V8 with a supercharger poking through the hood.

Those doors look like they'd be useful in some of the parking spots that I have to use.

Except for the wheels (should be solid disks), I kinda like it. If I was independantly wealthy, I might call them up and find out if that hood is carbon fiber, and if so, buy one. And then I would have a car in my Univiersity Colors - Orange and Blue.

 

I wish there was a pic of an average-size person next to the open door. It looks like you'd have to bend and twist like a yoga instructor to get in the car if that's as far as the door opens.

 

They call them Lambo doors even though Lamborghini don't have them.
Didn't DeLorean hinge across the top edge which was near the centre of the roof?

The Lamborghini Countach made the doors famous if I'm not mistaken.

Well 2, they are called Lambo doors.
Not all Lamborghini have them, oops.
There is a Delorean DMC-12 in Birdwood National Motor Museum South Australia. Still a nice looking car.

What makes you think it's an '09? Looks more like an '04-'05 because the tail lights have the black section on top.

 

How many mpg is it getting?
