Just fitting that the person who started this game got the 1000'th post. :cheer2: I did a little analysis on the answers, just in case anyone is interested.... In the first 1000 posts, we had.... 171 places starting with 'a' 107 starting with 'e' 102 with 'n' 72 with 's' 65 with 'y' 53 with 'o' 44 with 't' 37 with 'k' 36 with 'i' 35 with 'r' 29 with 'h' 22 with 'm' 21 with 'l' 20 with 'u' 17 with 'g' 10 with 'p' 8 with 'x' 7 with 'w' 6 with 'c' 5 with 'd' 3 with 'f' 2 for both 'v' and 'z' and we are yet to get any starting with b, j or q, so the challenge is to find a place that ends with one of these three letters. Now these do not add up to 1000 - we also had a number of repeats, 2 of which were repeated twice, plus we had a number of places that did not follow the rules. Surprisingly, most of these were not picked, or were picked up too late. Now I look forward to the next 1000 :focus:
I used "Qatar" once. When I type it into the 'search' process, the Qeography thread shows up. But I can't get it to link to the particular page ... out of all 51 pages. I'm quessing that is was a response to Iraq. Very interesting statisitcs -- thanx !
Elba, place of exile (couldn't quite end with a 'b' yet). Qatar is in this post, but was a response to Iraq, which actually lost the tie to another entry and Hyo wanted a do-over.
Uh oh. Here comes that nasty geography cop again. Tripp, are you sure Anchorage hasn't been used before? Oh well, too late now. Unity (Saskatchewan)
Sorry, Tripp. I could have sworn 'Anchorage' was played before. Obviously my mind's playing tricks on me. Estacada (Oregon)
