    my beloved 05 prius does not start.Does anyone know of a place which i can send the ecu unit (lower glove box,grey plugs) for diagnosis and exchange?

    Ah....as long as you leave the ECU attached to the car you can send it to your local Toyota dealer for diagnosis.
    Not starting could be anything from a dead battery, to the ECU, to an inverter, to a million other things.

    I think what our good moderator is saying is: Have you measured the 12VDC Aux Battery, Headlights? Connections, Pertinent fuses, CB's etc. The archives and Johns site have a wealth of info. Don't just remove the ECU, you could screw something up!
