The official teaser pics...the first posted here, the second at greenhybrid, etc. are real pics posted by Toyota (aka Prius Team). The 5 photos posted this past week were unauthorized photos obtained via unknown means...but Toyota has confirmed that they are real as well.

Is it possible that we're missing the overall point.

The original timeline was that Toyota would reveal the 2010 in January. That's it. No teaser, no communication, nada. The fact that they have provided a couple little pics has some people irritated that they haven't posted more. There will be all the information you want in only a few months. Like it or not, we will wait until then for all the answers to all your questions.

Keep them coming, I say. Something's better than nothing. And it provides a little fun and game in this too serious world...

    Patience.

That's a very important trait you must learn to embrace when dealing with Prius... both when waiting for delivery and later when actually driving.

The struggle to achieve patience is well worth the effort. The 8 years of practicing my "ohm" have been very rewarding.

I have to admit, I'm in the 'irritated' camp. The reason being, none of the pics indicate whether it has a PLUG or not. In a nice way, I've already let Toyota/Lexus know that we will NOT buy from then again, until they offer a plug. So, pictures of "open-close" buttons? ... guages ? ... I'm waiting for the REAL picture(s) ... the ones that matter ... the pic's of the "EV" mode. Bring it on! Toyota, PLEASE, do NOT make me buy from GM.

you asked for opinions, so here is mine:
most of us here are not teenagers - quit the silly games
you want me to write a big check for a new car, act professionally
give us some techincal details - quit the fooling around

or do you actually increase your sales with the games? if so, that says something about the average US consumer i guess.

they wont give you details of new car, 6-7 months before it goes on sale... only GM does that because they have nothing to sell.

On the other hand, Toyota has current Prius to sell so they can not give you everything you want.

it doesnt have an plug, not this version in any case... as they said, there will be plugin version in trials at the end of 2009, with mass market production possible in 2010...

I love my 2005 and plan to buy a 2010, but I'm afraid of what looks like reduced headroom. At 6'4" this is a concern. Can you ease my unrest?

And I like the pics, keep them coming.

Details will be officially unveiled in Detroit in 2009. You shouldn't monitor this thread for them because none is promised, and no companies I know are obligated to give out their product secrets prior to the public launch.

All this is is just a little game to while away the time. Nobody's forcing anybody to play.

While we have nothing to lose by you releasing any info to us, I will say a picture of button to me at least is almost useless. I would prefer more details on options or improved things in this model etc. Lastly, a firmer date of release would be nice. I have a lease ending in Mid April and I would love to know if the new model will be released by then.

    thanks
