    I'm still using it but I'm also still trying to figure out whats causing the error codes. I have seen them one more time since I have reported it. I think it might have something to do with too high of a temp at start up or it could be the rapid change of temp when adjusting. I have not had time to confirm it yet. It would be nice to hear from others that have done the hack to see if they are having the same error codes or not. Other than the error codes this hack seems to help a LOT with my plug-in Prius. I'm just curious how well it works on a regular Prius.

    but whats in the manual or technical manual about those code´s

    example Code EX0X0 Air sensor .... defective or air to cold.. something like that

    I had my first code yesterday. It was "P0000." I just cleared it with the SG2 and everything is fine. I've been running the hack for close to two months now and it's working great to boost mpg. I used a 5K pot and 1 270 OHM resistor.

    No, I don't have a plug-in...yet.:D As for gains, I've went from mid upper 80's mpg to mid to upper 90's. In fact, I just filled up today and averaged 99.6 over 430+ miles and recently had 101.1 over 867 miles.

    if you want to see parameters than a normal scan gauge can provide

    Why don't you just use a laptop and get yourselves an obdii reader and put that into the obdii cable.

    I'm sure you can read plenty of obdii parameters that way, all on one
    screen.

    I have stopped using this hack for the past 2 weeks and I have not seen any error codes yet. My mileage is down without this hack but when your getting over 100MPG with a PHEV I guess it really does not matter.

    Since the temperatures are getting near freezing now I may try once again to use this hack to see if it helps in the winter and to see if the engine acts up at all since it thinks its warm when its actually very cold. I would also like to know if I can find out what condition exactly is tripping the error codes and try to find a way to avoid it and still use the hack.

    Has anyone else tried this hack yet? If you have tried the hack did you get any error codes while using it? If your using the hack has it increased your MPG?

    I have been using this hack for the past few weeks since it has gotten colder. Temps have been down to near freezing. So far I have not received any error codes. I have been keeping to a strict procedure on using this hack. Here is what I have started out doing.

    When I first start the car the hack is turned off until the car gets out of S1, then I turn it on and slowly increase the temperature to about 165F. If this is city driving I just set it and monitor it to keep it above 157F. If its a long highway drive I normally don't use the hack. When I am ready to turn off the car I slowly turn down the temp as far as it will go and turn off the hack. I wait a few seconds and turn off the car.

    The past few days I have set my POT to the approximate location for a temp above 157F. I turn on the car and let it go through S1, then I will turn on the hack and it will instantly jump above 157F. Since my commute is short and I have the Hymotion battery I can just set it and forget it because I try not to use the engine much. When I'm ready to tum off the car I turn off the hack and turn off the car. So far I have not gotten any errors.

    I still don't know what condition causes the errors I was seeing but I will continue to experiment.

    wow???? ok the air intake maybe because the air is to cold and the engine is also to cold but the car thinks its a heated ice

    but the batt malf??? no clou whats that got to do with it!

    Anyone knows how to separate the sensor from the pcm ? I would like to keep the sensor working normaly, but also use the resistance from it without the power being fed into my circuit...

    WHat i mean is, when the engine is not turned on, the sensor show normal resistance values, but as soon as you turn on the ignition, power is applied to it, thus rendering my circuit inoperative, is there a way to make this work ? so the pcm and MY circuit works ?
