I saw this, this morning. Looks pretty cool, if it's the real thing.

Here's a better shot of the exterior.

Looks like they will use the solar roof. It's a nice looking car.

Looks sort of Scion-ish. And 4 doors, which I think according to the latest rumors may have been anticipated, but different from the auto-show mockup. But I think 4 door makes much more sense. More practical for a larger segment of consumers.

Notice the tilting energy display. Perhaps Toyota will do this on the 2010 (it's been noted in the spy shots of the 2010 that the MFD is awkwardly placed).

Could the pic's be fuzzy for a reason? Like maybe to disguise the fact that this is just from someone's set of 'hot-wheels' with the volt badge painted on the back?
    :p

The pictures are from video footage that was leaked. In other words, aside from the fact that the Volt will appear in the next Transformers movie, they didn't intend to quite let the cat out of the bag this early. In the footage, there's also something that may or may not be where the next Corvette is headed, and a couple of concepts of small cars that may be sold as Chevrolets elsewhere.

In this footage, you see people removing a car cover, and, IIRC, getting into the car and driving it. It is not a Hot Wheels.

Indeed, provided I don't decide to get a Camaro instead, the Volt will likely be my next car.

I'm most impressed with how it has no resemblance whatsoever to the original gangster show car. How can that be?

Well, you're a whole lot braver than I am. GM just recalled several hundred thousand of their '07 & '08 SUV's for fire / electrical problems. Some wiper / fluid warming thing. With that in mind, you really think they can make a $40K mostly electric car with less electrical problems? I like your faith. Especially on a 'first article from GM'. Don't be too surprised if Toyota's next offering doesn't trump GM's horribly.

By the way, GM's last 'body' on their Volt had the drag coefficiency of a parachute. Anyone heard if they got the drag down a little less? Like maybe that of a Volkswagon Vanagon? Or maybe a brick? :p Their not toot'n their own horn about it, like they do everything else remotely off the drawing board & Volt-esq. That can't be good, either.
