I wonder if you could display SOC and Current if they were on separate ScanGauges?

I know that at least one person runs two ScanGauges simultaneously. I am considering getting a second one because I want to display more than 4 gauges at the same time.

You should be able to see the current if you used jstcd's modification to my code (assuming it works, I haven't tested it out) since that data is broadcasted on a different ID.

    @ Bob64:

I've tried your "recipe" at the top of your first post here, but my Scangauge refuses to get the Battery Current the passive way. Maybe I'd need a newer one with the actual chips to get that.

But your explanations about active and passive method encouraged me to try out the opposite method. Up to now my Scangauge didn't display the Battery Voltage. So I thought: how about to combine the TXD and RXF of the active method with the RXD and MTH of the passive way? That results in:
    TXD: 07E321CE
    RXF: 056186CE0000
    RXD: 2010
    MTH: 000100010000
    NAM: BTV
I was quite sceptical - and a little anxious, because I don't really know what I'm doing and you never know...
    - but tried it anyway and:
success! So now I can watch Voltage on my older ScangaugeII.

I've tested it, but on my Scangauge it makes no difference: no display.

Well, I'm sorry, I've been cheering too early.
After entering the parameter I didn't seen an empty display, as usual if the parameter don't work, but the value 2503, which I mistook for 250,3 Volts. But the missing decimal point should have made me suspicious. At my first test drive I discovered, that this number 2503 didn't change at all, but stayed the same. So my "invention" is certainly not the Main Battery Voltage, but something else.
    Sorry.

do you now if it wil work with this code?

    Battery Current: TXD: 07E321C3( 07E321C4 or 07E20221C3 ) RXF: ???????? RXD: ???? Mth : ?????? NAM: ???

    its from atilla vass site
    On 7E3 : 02 21 01 = MIL STATUS, 02 21 21 = Drive Mileage, 02 21 CE = Batt SOC, 02 21 CF = Delta SOC, 02 21 CF = Batt temperatures, 02 21 D0 = Battery module voltages and internal resistance calcs
    On 7E2 : 02 21 C3 and 02 21 C4 has info on MG1/2 REV, MG1/2 Torque, MG1/2 Trq Exc Val, MG1/2 inverter temp, MG1/2 temp, "converter" temp (the DC/DC?), ICE speed and target ICE speed…

I can't get the BTV codes to work in either of our 2006 or 2007 Prius's.

On my 08 I can read battery voltage, current, and state of charge on my SG2 but I would like to read MG1 and MG2 temps. Has anyone figured out how to read other temps with the SG2?

Battery Voltage Code. I have the same code you listed in your previous post. It does not work in 2 prius vehicles we own with our SG2.

the voltage and soc are scangauge standard settings
maybe look it up in the manual?
i am more intressed in the inverter temp and mg1 and mg2 temps.

Again....I have the correct code for voltage (BTV) and it doesn't work on two vehicles.

    TXD-0033
    RXF-0100023B0000
    RXD-2010
    MTH-000100010000

The Scangauge people can't seem to figure it out.

Here is an alternate for traction battery voltage that might work for you:
    TXD-03C5
    RXF-010302CD0000
    RXD-2010
    MTH-000100010000

The original poster like the symbol btv for this one.

One other possibility--in playing around with XGauges, I've sometimes believed that ones I had entered but was not currently displaying could cause problems with displayed ones. Possibly you might confirm or deny an effect if you delete some of the ones you are not using or consider suspect.

How to use SGII to improve MPG on Non-hybrid w/OD.
I have the SGII installed on our Avalon while waiting for our Prius. If you also have a non-hybrid, automatic w/OD, and don't live in Oklahoma or Florida. You may want to check out my post, if you haven't already done so. It explains how exploring my SGII, I learned to improve the gas mileage on our Avalon by roughly 10%. If you don't meet any of the above qualifications, you may want to skip the post unless you want to pass the info on to someone else. I lent our SGII to our son and he's experiencing similar results, thanks to the SGII. Perhaps others were already aware of the way OD works, but I didnt know that the Avalon would shut down the injectors.

I am not sure what Traction Battery Voltage is. I just want BTV.

I have already tried switching other gauges with BTV and it didn't work.

There are two major batteries in the Prius. Calling the big one the Traction Battery removes ambiguity. Some do, some don't.
