I've read all I could find so far on the plugin lithium Prius, but I have not read anything yet about a Honda "prius killer". Can someone post a link to some details?

thanks for the info. sounds like the Honda is still going to be only a mild hybrid. while it still may be a great car, it doesn't sound like it will do any real prius killing.

back to the topic at hand, I spoke with the saleswoman, Bonita, at the Stevinson Toyota West in Lakewood, Colorado, and she indicated there is no waiting list yet for the 2010 or the prius plugin (2011?) yet. she also said something strange. she wondered why anyone would want to have to plug them in at all since the current prius was totally "self sustaining" with gas and not needing to be plugged in. lol, I found it hard to believe I was hearing this at a Toyota dealer and not on a GM message board or something.

after speaking with her for another 15 mins (to be sure she understood while people would be clamoring for her companies upcoming killer new prius model) she confided she really wished she'd have gotten a prius when she had the chance. now the wait is over 6 months and they can't even guarantee you'll get an 08 at all right now.

i didn't learn anything new, but I'm glad I spoke with Bonita and hope she came away with at least a desire to find out more about this awesome future prius that has so many on the edge of their seats.

Yeah, the CR-V certainly has much less cargo space than the Rav-4 due to Honda's 'fold and tumble' rear seats.

the 2010's will not have Li-Ion battery, nor will they be a 'plug-in' version, that is said due in year 2010, so would be a 2011 model.

2010 will have the NiMH batteries, same as 08/ 09 Prius.
