me too!!!! We just put our $500 deposit yesterday, wait countdown begins! We gave 3 choices for packages and color, hopefully we could reduce my wait time somehow. Nice to find this support group!

 

Okay, we checked with our local dealer, and their list is pretty short (like, 4 people?)
You'll still have to wait a few weeks, maybe, but you may get a Prius faster, with a better chance of getting your package.

My White Package #2 hit the Port of New York yesterday. The dealer should have an updated ETA here in the DC area by the end of the week, but expects the delivery date will be within the next two weeks.

 

I'm still awaiting my Prius since April.

Dealer said delivery date has been moved up from the end of August to the end of July..... Wait thats only 4 weeks.... Horraaayy

Can't wait and am now counting off the days.

Already received a shark fin for the first mod.

It's been a month since I passed up the first car the dealership offered me. Sigh. When do I run out of patience and take something other than a package 4 in silver/white/mag gray?

 

for JM Bethesda ... here's hoping your dealer is correct in "predicting" the arrival of your Super White / Pkg #2. i suppose the next two weeks will seem like an ETERNITY ... but hang in there and all the best!

for Prius SGP ... may the best of luck - and your new car! - be with you by the end of July! that IS still a four-weeks' wait ... but you've been waiting since April already, so it shouldn't seem to be much longer now!

for nooaah ... oh; i know the feeling! about two weeks ago - when our wait had reached the three-week mark - we advised our dealership that we'd "be fine" with almost ANY color - except Black, Magnetic Gray and Barcelona Red - and with either the Bisque or Dark Gray fabric ... and that we'd "consider" Pkg 2, Pkg 3 or Pkg 4. that MAY speed up the process a bit, but we continue to hope that we'll end up with our first choice; a Seaside Pearl with Bisque Fabric and Pkg 3 ....

 

Dealer called due in about the 10th and I have a vin # not to bad ordered the 1st of may since I was picky on color Silver Pine

 

Woot! Dealer emailed to tell it's coming in within the week and gave me the VIN. Now on to negotiating trade-in...

Good luck with the trade in negotiations. We went in to pick up our Prius, package 3, at the agreed MSRP of $25,508. A good price no doubt. We were going to trade in our fully loaded 07 Camry that only has 15K miles on it and had hoped to get at least $17,500 for it. We basically did not want to finance any negative equity. The dealership had a few other 07's with more mileage, no sunroof, bluetooth etc that they are selling for $22K plus. They only offered us $16K and not willing to negotiate any further. Basically take it or leave it. I know that $1500 is not a big deal but it was just the principle of it and the fact that these dealers are also making $$$ by selling these cars at full MSRP. We also felt like we were being rushed to make up our minds. This is also a dealer that I have previously worked with in the past with no problems. We declined their offer and may try to sell our car privately. I think that some of the dealerships are hoping to turn off some of the people who had prearranged a purchase price so they can turn around and sell these cars $2K-$5K over MSRP. Though we would love to have a Prius we are not desperate and are happy with our Camry. Good luck to you.

 

If you are close to a CarMax, why not see what they would offer you on your 07 Camry. It may have been a fair offer.:argue:

Hmm I've been waiting for a Black #3 or #4 since May 20th.. Couple weeks shy of you. I keep telling myself that they just haven't made a batch of black cars lately. Again I expect some time in September or October.

Are you like me and are dead set on Black at the color?

The dealers are really trying to take advantage of their situation with the Prius. I think if you have a trade, like most do, then they just use that to open you up and work you from both ends. If you go in with no trade then they just jack up the MSRP or throw in add ons that MUST be purchased. Although car dealers are not one of my most favorite people, right up there with lawyers and assassins, I think the Toyota dealers are even a little worse than most.

 

Gloin, I was told to just forget about trying to get a package 3. For some reason my dealership is only getting in package 2s and 6s right now. It's really frustrating. I thought the package 4 was supposed to be fairly common!

 

Got mine yesterday. Loving it so far...As for my dealership, they said around 4 to 6 months before I ordered it. Once the deposit was placed, they called me in a couple of day and said that they had a white #2 and it should be available in 6 weeks. Actual delivery, 3 weeks. He also told me that someone placed an order six hours before mine but was very specific on color and package. That being said, Toyota hasn't even excepted the order as of yesterday.

 

I just placed my order on June 30th... They said 6 months, I had to give $1,000 nonrefundable... Black #2 for me but I told them I would settle for the Silver #2 as well. We didn't talk about trade in value because it's too far away to do that. We agreed on MSRP but he didn't know what it was becuase he said I would be getting the 09 at this point.
