A recent study found that the average American walks about 900 miles in a year. Another study found Americans drink, on average, 22 gallons of alcohol a year. That means, on average, Americans get about 41 miles to the gallon. Kind of makes you proud to be American!
only 22 gallons of alcohol a year in a year? i probably drink that in 3 months i have about 25-30 beers a week..for past 7 years now..give or take..very bad..i probably wont be alive much longer. still been able to keep weight under 170 though even at 28. Riding bike to work 4 day a week must help, and working like a trojan on major hangover day after to day also..must stop drinking!
OK, I'm being a funpire here, but I doubt the average American walks 900 miles a year (over a mile a day? Yeah, right). Maybe 900 meters a year.
A can of beer (here anyway) is 375ml If a can of beer has 4% alcohol it has 15ml of alcohol If you drink 30 beers a week that is 450ml of alcohol there are 52 weeks in a year (no sh!t sherlock) so you drink 23.4 litres or 6.1834 US gallons of alcohol. If you drink full strength 5% beer then add 25% to this 29.35 litres or 7.7557 US gallons per year. Looks like your not doing your share in supporting the alcohol industry Matt.
I doubt they meant 100% alcohol. I'm guessing they meant alcoholic beverages mixed. <---Captain Obvious
Try switching to Bush/Odouls and/or Miller-Sharps ... or at least mixing them 50/50 with your beer if you find you can't do without.
