typically the smarter ones are more soft spoken, as they realize that the loudest/most frequently repeated answer is not necessarily the correct one.

not so easily said for everyone. look at national politics and the bs our citizens are being fed...

 

The number on the chart for Asian is only 4%. Looks like the bar is wrong (too long).

 

Is the average prius driver smarter than the average American?

Yes and No, it depends!

Answer is YES if the Prius driver:
-Knows what makes Prius a Prius, its tecnnology and why choose to drive it (not because the neighbor has one).
-Bought the Prius under or at MSRP the most.
-is hypermiling his/her Prius on public roads without creating the "road block" effect.
-RTFM for common features on the Prius like 'how do I open......or what this light is for....'
-Fill-up the tank before the Fuel-light even turns on for reminder.

Answer is NO if the Prius driver:
-Do none of the YES above and beyond.
-Paid whatever the dealer is asking for Services/Warranty/Price, just because it's a Hybrid and it's complicated and in high-demand.

 

LOL. Definitely in the Prius since I have real dark tint.
And yes I am a good portion Irish. Ireland is certainly on my list of places to visit one day, heard a lot about it from relatives.

 

That is certainly not a trip I would want to take by boat.

Well I don't know about you, but I must be, as I drive a Prius and gas is $4.00 + a gallon and since I live in Iowa, I hope the thing floats too.

There are some rather smart folks in here... as well as a number of total nincompoops.

I'd say between this forum and my other favorite one (Corvetteforum.com) that I have a good chance to find out the skinny on most any topic and have the right data within a day if I didn't have a clue about something I needed to know about.

Although, I think... there are more Engineers, Auditors, Doctors, Lawyers, Indian Cheifs on CF than I've seen in here... yet.

 

There are not more Asians than Caucasians on PriusChat, according to the graphs. And, I don’t think the bar graph bar for Asians is incorrect. The pie chart on the left of each category apparently shows the percentage of each category represented on PriusChat. The bar graph on the right of each category has an “X†axis labelled “Index.†I think it shows the percentage of each of the figures on the pie chart with respect to the internet average. For example, in the ethnicity category of the survey, the pie chart indicates that Asians represent approximately four percent of the participants on PriusChat. Looking at the bar graph on the right, this appears to indicate that this four percent represents approximately 114 percent of the internet average. So, there is a higher percentage of Asians on PriusChat than on the internet as a whole, but not more Asians than Caucasians on PriusChat. In fact, 92 percent of the participants on PriusChat appear to be Caucasian. These graphs are a little clumsy in my opinion.

With a jillion prior posts, the topic was already posted, and of course Danny beat many to the punch. Here's the link someone else posted about a year ago, saying the same thing in a different way:

But here's the funny thing ... if we're all so dang smart ... how come so few of us know how to use the search tool ?!? ... and how come so many of us keep rescuing those who don't look for their own self ?!? How come none of the FHOP folks never convince the other side to agree ?!? Now THAT's the answer you can't find on PC

 

The answer is simply "no".

However American males who post on message boards seem to have the following:

An extremely hot wife or girlfriend
A very high paying job.
Achieve better fuel economy and performance than anyone else.
Can out run, out fight, out weightlift just about anyone.
Have extremely well endowed "organs"
Rarely if ever do message board posters make a mistake of any kind, and if they do... It is somepone else's fault.
