Last night, as I was driving to my son's baseball game and listening to a CD a song came on and I could not help but grin at the title and thought it befitting the car itself. The song ... High Voltage by AC/DC. So,now I'm thinking it might be fun to get other Prius chat users' thoughts on what would be a good theme song for the car. Let's hear it! What songs do you think either have a fitting title or lyrics that work well enough to be a theme song for the Prius.
Well.. since I didn't have an audio cable to hook up my iPod when I picked up my car yesterday, I went and bought a CD -- "Discovery" by Daft Punk. "Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger" has pretty much been on repeat since.
I heard 2 songs in a row the other day. "Free Ride" and "Low Rider." Low Rider has a line in it about using no gas, and I just plain like the song. Perhaps "Slow Ride" could be another one since we don't seem to be in the rush (to get to the gas station?) others are in.
Electric Avenue by Eddy Grant.....Oh, oh, we gonna rock down to, Electric Avenue, then we'll take it higher! Slow Ride is good too because this car is a dog when it comes to speed off the line!
Gotta' be Trans Island Skyway from Kamakiriad (solo album by Donald Fagen of Steely Dan). I always loved this song and like it even better now that "they handed me the keys". The entire album is about getting a new car (Kamakiriad) and the adventures that ensue. "With all screens and functions, in sync-lock with Trip Star, this cool rolling bubble is all set to samba."
