Lotus Elise. Lotus is a small British sports car company that makes Elise, Exige, and Esprit (not currently). The design philosophy of Lotus is "Performance through light weight", first adopted by the founder of Lotus, Colin Chapman. The motto drives Lotus to obtain performance with lightweight cars instead of high power outputs, emphasizing driving purity and dynamics.

Both Elise and Exige use Toyota engines (Celica). Handling is just amazing and it is a blast to drive. I usually drive Elise to work these days unless I am late for work. Ironically, I can get to work faster with HOV stickered Prius then my 150mph sports car.:car:

Prius (or Honda Civic Hybrid/Insight) really is the ultimate performance machine when commuting in CA urban areas during rush hour and carpool lanes are available.
