Trailer Hitch and Cargo Carrier??

    Hi All,

    I know this has probably been posted before but I can't seem to find it.

    I'm wanting to get a trailer hitch and cargo carrier for my 2002 prius to take on vacation next month. Anyone have any suggestions of what trailer hitch to get and where to get a good one cheap? I'm open for suggestions for the cargo carrier too. I'm looking for one that works for cargo but can also be converted easily to carry bikes. I've seen the kits to do that cheap, just need the hitch and the cargo carrier first.

    Try doing a search on "trailer hitch" and you will get a lot of links complete with pics on how to install the Curt Hitch. Here is an excellant link done by evnut.. Prius Hitch Good luck...

    What size ball do you all use on your Curt 1 1/4" hitch receiver?

    or is that the ball size too, 1 1/4"
