Picked up my Prius yesterday. Total Miles: 247 Highest MPG trip = 37 miles @ 65.7 MPG I will take that for day #1. I think I have 6 maybe 7 pips left on the Gas meter. Still on my first tank obviously.
That's sounds pleasant... and much better than mine. It was 9/11/00. (Who knew that my 1-year anniversary would be so extreme!) The highway was covered in a nasty, dense fog. I was at the very location experiencing the same conditiones where I had be involved in a 50-car pile-up 8 years earlier. Sure enough, problems again! This time, it was a industrial dump-truck that veered over to stop for the train crossing... but instead slammed into it... spilling its large load of sand & rock all over the highway. Driving through that thick & heavy mess, while listening to is scrap the underneath of my new Prius, wasn't exactly what I had in mind for my first commute with a hybrid. .
