In the parking lot where I work the lines for the spaces have been gone for years, so the parking gets quite "creative" at times. A neighboring tenant has a problem with the way some people park and this is how he lets the driver know of his disapproval.
Ha ha. You should take a look at this site: passive-aggressive (and just plain aggressive) notes  a little bit “funny ha haâ€â€¦a little bit, you know, “funnyâ€
If you know what car he drives park an old beat up car and when he puts a sign like that on the windshield run into his car with it. When he complains, tell him some donkey put a sign on your car and you were in a hurry and didn't have time to remove it. Once you get the person's name he can make a claim against him for the sign.
I'm no lawyer, but wouldn't comparative negligence apply? Even if it doesn't I would take my chances in front of a small claims judge (bet he'd love the irony) and if I lost and had to pay for the dent I don't think I would get anymore signs on the windshield. Is it worth it? Of course not, but I'm an donkey.
You wouldn't be in front of a small claims judge. You'd be in front of a criminal judge for assault, battery, etc... BTW: It's contributory because you commited a tort. Or at least you would be charged with that.
I thought it was a fender bender. I didn't know you could commit assault and battery against a car. Didn't mean to imply in my original post he'd be in his car when I ran into it.
OK, gotcha. You'd be a lot better off if he was not in the car. Of course it would be great to see the look on his face when you rammed into him..... I guess you wouldn't be able to see his face anyway since you would have a big nice person sign in your face. Now about that sign and Libel....
Wow no kidding? That's pretty cool. I moved here in 1997 from upstate NY. The drive-in was gone by the time I moved here but I know where it was.
