    You missed a couple options:
    5) Remove the windshield. Now there's no reflection.
    6) Close your eyes when it's sunny. Then you see no reflection.

    (Okay, it's April 1rst, couldn't resist).

More seriously, what would tinting the windshield do for this? Less sunlight gets through so less reflection, but would the reflection be more noticeable on a darker surface? This sounds like one of those things that once you notice it, it starts bugging you. It's been so cloudy around here lately, I don't remember what sunlight and shadows look like anymore... :)

Brian/Kazie - this is a daytime reflection problem, you're talking about the night-time green glare, a separate problem, with separate threads including this one, and cheap home-made solutions, including mine. Although they did try the dash mat to try to fix that issue too, with mixed results.

Even more seriously . . . doing so is illegal in many, and probably a majority of jurisdictions.

Less daytime glare for much less nighttime visibility . . . not a good trade off.

I have purchased a pair of Oakley polarized sunglasses. Got rid of the glare.
    Hope this helps

Tinting the windshield will make the reflection worse, since it will increase the apparent brightness of the dash. You could make the inside of the glass non-glare, like they do on framing glass, but I'm sure that would be impractical as well as potentially dangerous, since you are dealing with automotive safety glass.

hmmm - I have an '08 and I have no idea what you're talking about. Maybe it's because I'm 5'4" - however I have a long torso.... A photo would really help.

I rented an '07 for a week last year and had the night time reflection of the video-game console but I don't have that problem in my new one.

hmmmmm - now I'm going to probably wreck my car on the way home trying to see it.... :p
