DICE not working correctly in 2008 Prius

I tried it in SAT mode also and no luck. Everything works except I cannot navigate I can only track up and down. I called Adam at Dice and he told me to use Playlists. That doesn't work either. If I cannot navigate my tunes on the screen or on the buttons it kind of defeats the whole purpose of the unit. So far not very impressed.

We've added the firmware for the 08's to the Silver line - there's info in that post. Once we do some final testing on an 08 we'll be exchanging kits for those of you who have 08's.

 

Ok, it's been successfully tested in an 08 Prius.

Everyone who has a 08 Toyota and currently owns a DICE kit from Priuschat, please PM me with detailed mailing and contact info. Exchanges for the Silver kits, which have the code for the 08's will go out shortly.

Same here - just PM'd to confirm my need of a silver unit for my '08 as well.

When someone recieves one, would they post so we know when they are arriving and how they are working?

Actually, I'm not sure I'm doing this correctly. I bought my DICE unit directly from the DICE website, do I need to contact them to get an upgrade to the Silver unit?

Any advice would be appreciated.

Yea, something please. It has been way too long since I have recieved an update. I was told in early December that it would be no longer than 2 weeks until I had a replacement.

No updates or responses to PM's for about a month.

What is going on?

Is there any update? I was just looking before I put in my order, but looking at this thread, maybe NOT is the best option.

We JUST ordered the DICE. NOW I find this thread! Yikes! Our car is also on order - a touring package 3. We haven't made up our minds yet re: sat. radio... when I read the info from DICE, it looked like they had new units in that work right with 2008 cars.

Should I look elsewhere and cancel the order? Probably like everyone, I want totally integrated iPod usage from the steering or touch screen. I don't want to reach around and fiddle with the iPod itself. Though I am the person in our house who does most all the tech support for our apple network of computers, I don't know much of anything about car stereo integration... I'm out of my element and at the mercy of anyone willing to share personal opinions here. Going to a car stereo store sounds like my idea of fresh hell - especially after the ordeal of negotiating a car deal!

Anyone? Yes to DICE or no to DICE?

 

Hmmmm..... I am kind of on the same boat, should I or should I not order the DICE. I wish DICE would post a reply telling us what the status of the unit is.

 

Who has a phone number for them? Other than on this site, are their reviews of the product for '08 that you've seen?
