The Washington Post had a picture of a smart car parked in front of the white house. The owner said she gets 40 mpg and cost $16,000. A dealership in Alexandria, VA changed from selling saturns to smart cars. What a small car!!! My other cars are 95 saturns. I love my prius--seats four, bigger, carries cargo, and gets better gas mileage.;)

The Prius also costs at least $10,000 more.
    • The Smart starts @ $11,599 and tops out @ $15,580
    • The Smart Convertible starts @ $16,599 and tops out @ $18,240
Some of us have no reason to have a second large car that seats 5 people and costs $21K plus.

Was the car in the photo yellow? I think that was the article about Laura Bush's chief of staff buying a Smart car.

And if it came from an Alexandria dealership that used to sell Saturns, then I think they're located about a mile away from my house. I guess I'll have to swing by that way and have a look-see...

I've spotted one in my neighborhood recently - saw it twice. Cute!
