Prius sighting at Rite Aid!

1. Out of all the drug store chains, I think Rite Aid may be the worst in terms of stocking items. Go to Rite Aid at any time. Pick up the weekly sales circular. And then try to find any of the items that are on sale that week. Lotsa luck.

From my experience in NYC, it's rare to find a Rite Aid with the die cast Prius in stock. But if you do find them, $4 is really cheap.

2. As someone else mentioned, PriusChat's Rufaro sells die cast Prius. Rufaro's "WeePri" has a pull back motor. I think the one sold by Rite Aid does not (at least the ones I checked when I managed to find them at Rite Aid). Rufaro's cost more though. But she is exceptionally nice and provides excellent service. Rufaro's WeePri thread is here:

The car that I bought at Rite-Aid is the exact same car that Rufaro is offering, complete with pull-back motor.

 

I've never really understood Rite Aid. We have two here on the Harbor, and, for the life of me, I can't understand how they stay open.

There is NEVER anyone there. The aisles are mostly half-empty, and the amount of business they seem to do is really pathetic.
Yet, they are building a new one to replace one of the emptiest of them.

It makes me wonder if it is just a large, money-laundering scheme.

Are the Rite Aids elsewhere busy? stocked?

Lol, what a hoot! I thought that maybe those kind of things happened only in NYC Ride Aids (NYC is great; but there are so many things we do wrong here). I was a little dismayed last year when Rite Aid took over what I had found to be one of the better drug store chains, Genovese/Eckerd.

But if you do manage to find one of those die cast Prius at Rite Aid, $4 is a really great price. Their other die cast model cars are also $4 and a great deal too. I was thinking of picking up a Mini, a VW New Beetle, and a 1960ish VW Microbus.
