Or as I like to phrase it in my case: "self-unemployed". My wife would agree with that assessment.

So you work for Toyota? Any parts we might recognize?

I'm an embedded software engineer (for electronics without screens and keyboards). Have worked in military intelligence, elevator controls, TV satellite/cable receivers, casino displays (my emergency job after dot-com/telecommunications bust) and now heart defibrillators for a medical company. This current job is my most rewarding job, I hope to stay here awhile. The only thing that could pull me away would be a job on EVs (or maybe space exploration or intelligent prosthetics or ...?)

Passnthru, you and nerfer should get together. If his defibrillators don't do the trick, then they might need your services.

...and yes I'm only 22 years old. I'm always the youngest person in every department I work with. I'm even younger than the interns, which feels awkward sometimes.

I used to be like that. Don't worry about it; time will fix all, and you too can be a technology elder.

I *knew* you'd ask that! I deal with business mailings, like electronic postage statements for large mailings (which includes periodicals, packages, and fun stuff like Netflix dvds, so it's not just advertising). But I was very curious about your recent posts about mail delivery. I have a meeting later this week with one of our clients and if I have time I will ask him if he knows why you have this problem.
