I love my 06 UK T Spirit to bits, but twice now I have had to call the rescue company because I left the lights on all day and drained the battery. I can't believe a car of this calibre doesn't shut them off automatically. Does anyone know of an aftermarket modification I can buy to fix the problem?
The U.S. Prius turns off the headlamps when the driver's door is opened, assuming the car is turned off first. You can bypass this in a few ways: 1) Turning the headlamps on after the driver's door is open, 2) Opening the driver's door while the car is still running, and 3) Exiting through another door. Tom
Are you suggesting I could buy spare parts from the US vehicle and fit them to my UK model? Any suggestions as to what parts I need (part numbers etc) and where I can order them? Cheers Darren
Interesting. The UK Prius doesn't have auto-off? In Canada, we have full automatic headlights. In the US, it's AUTO-OFF only.
No, I was only stating how my Prius works. The comment about being a U.S. model is a disclaimer, saying I have no idea what is standard in the U.K. Tom
