Does anyone know if Toyota is going to offer a hybrid version of the Toyata Matrix? If so any details on the gas engine? I assume it might be the 2.4 that is used in the Camry hybrid.

You can get the Pontiac Vibe with AWD.
I haven't heard anything about hybridizing the Vibe or Matrix, especially for 2009, but it would be cool. However, if the Prius-wagon rumors hold to be true, then there would be too much product overlap to justify it.

I still think the Sienna should be their next target.

The new Venza CUV to be unveiled at NAIAS in Jan. 08 is probably the next hybrid candidate, since it will be built along side the Camry and Avalon in Kentucky. I was hoping for a hybrid RAV4, but I guess it's not going to happen soon. If the style and mileage of the Venza are above average, it might be a real winner.
