    Well, that's interesting. Thanks, Ken.

When is somebody going to do a CARtoons version? Chopped, channelled, lowered, maybe a flat12 in the back...

That is sweet! I don't think I would enjoy changing a rear tire though in the rain on I-95.

From some angles, it looks pretty nice, I think.

But, unless the Cd is lower than stock, and significantly, the whole thing is just additional dead weight...and so we devolve into this subjective, "my styling package looks better than yours does" argument that really has no winners or losers.

Why something this aero looking wouldn't be developed functionally, in a wind tunnel, is a bit of a mystery to me, reasons of cost notwithstanding (but that's just my opinion)...I mean, things like rear wheel skirts scream, "slippery."

And, if the folks who make it don't have those drag numbers, well...then...isn't it [ahem] maybe just a bit too much of a poser?

Okay...if they put four temporary spares on it, add a set of wire wheel covers, paint it candy metalflake and make it into a budget lowrider...just for the record, that was MY idea first!!

Well he stole the design from a mid 70's Citroen. You know the one that had adjustable air height...got in the car and it lowered. They were everywhere in NYC in the mid 70's. Looks just like that.

hm yeah anyone know any rear wheel skirts for the prius? i've built one using home depot materials for 12 bucks but ended up flying off the highway one day... was pretty pissed, as it was hard enough to get a payback period for 12 bucks!!!

my car was blue and i used blue painter's tape so it blended in extremely well, just the tape didn't last long in our rainy weather.

Try corflute and tape, but don't come to me if it damages your paint.

I do not know.. Looking at those sketches I visualize the car levitating a bit, its wheels pivoting inward to be at right angles with the altitude of the car, and there's this weird mental connection to the number 88.

someone still needs to rework a design that incorporated the side rear view mirrors into the body more, that would substantially reduce the drag.

I think some rear view cameras are better solution than the side rear view mirrors.

Rear view mirrors are obsolete. Use a fisheye lens and a small screen.

I see that he mentioned something on May 10 about his mileage, which I believe is 63 mpg.

I like the front bumper and the wheel skirts. Don't like the rear at all.

TO ALL - yeppers, i must agree with you all, it's cool, but NO cigar.

PINTOGIRL - my goodness, your comments are just awesome. i haven't heard the word POSER since the wanna-be rock stars of the 80's, but perfect call.

WE must understand though.... ideas like what we see here spur the imagination of others, which might take this idea, then fly with a better one. Having worked for the japanese for over 7 years, i do realize that they have a very futuristic imagination, like it or leave it, it must be applauded for trying. then, we must all remember where all our prius's come from and everytime we get in and hit the POWER button!

    HEYYYYYYYYYYYY................my 2 cents only.

    cheers
