In the early 80s ,laws were enacted in response to this place.

 

This place is related to a hooker and love.

 

Theres a waterfall nearby.

 

I think I've got it but I have to run to the bank. So it will take me an hour to get back to verify. It someone else finds it claim it in the meantime.

 

I found it too, but since I don't know anything about love or hookers (in this case) or laws passed, or whether the arrow is indicating the particular spot on the ground or is just where it came to rest by naming the burg, I'll have to bow out and let someone with all the required knowledge collect the reward money.

It is the Love Canal near Niagara Falls, NY. The toxic chemical waste site.

The name Love Canal came from the last name of William T. Love. The "hooker" connection is form Hooker Chemical and Plastics Corporation.

I'd love to join you, guys, but I'm finding these pictures impossibly small. I'm also having trouble posting images and accessing already-posted images.
