<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(jaywalker @ Nov 23 2007, 12:02 AM) </div> seatcovers not a good idea with the side airbags... and an aftermarket sunroof would run about $1k in the LA area, which would require a steel-reinforced roof
We picked ours up on Saturday. I've got the winter wheels on. [attachmentid=12636] We put in a custom two-tone leather interior. It's nice, all leather seats instead of just the surfaces and it was a small price to upgrade to the really soft leather. They did a pretty good job. [attachmentid=12637]
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(Twickle Purple @ Nov 26 2007, 11:44 PM) </div> Whoa Twickle, I think those leather seats make your Maggie Gray co-first among equals (my other co-first is the Maggie Gray with Sunroof)!!! Where did you get them, and how much did they cost installed?
Picked up my Magnetic Gray Touring last month. I would post pics, but it looks like a couple that have already been posted B) I'm now in "The Shark's Club™": Magnetic Gray, Tinted Windows, Sharkfin Antenna
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(Boo @ Nov 26 2007, 09:43 PM) </div> Thanks Tom. We LOVE the car. The seats, center console and door arm rests cost about $2,500 and were arranged through the Sales Manager at Nanaimo Toyota. He used ACS Autmotive Styling Center in Vancouver. I think they did a super job and the price was on par with what a leather upgrade would normally be (if it were offered...)

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(jukeboy @ Nov 23 2007, 08:53 AM) </div> They make seatcovers, including sheepskin seatcovers, that have side cut-outs or loose flaps to accomodate the front seat side airbags.
My new 2008 (#5) Magnetic Grey should be in mid-December. Wife like the seaside green, but I knew better...

Do I get in trouble for not liking my color? I am thrilled with my 2006 Prius. I have to admit, when I see other Magnetic Gray Priuses, they don't look bad to me. However, this color was not even last on my list of preferred colors when ordering my car. My 1997 Saturn SL2 was SO shaky, I was so afraid that it would lay an expensive egg (and screw up the arranged trade-in at the Toyota dealer), that when the dealer offered me my feature package in Magnetic Gray, I jumped on it. As I drove the Saturn into the Toyota dealership, with all Saturn systems operational, I heaved a sigh of relief, parked it, kissed its dashboard, leapt out and kissed it goodbye. It had served shockingly well for an American car (my first and probably my last). However, I am relieved to be in an all-Toyota family again. All that said, I don't lose sleep over this, but I do get a tiny pang of regret when I see white, black, red or blue Priuses. However, to review: 1. It's a hybrid. Despite any horsecrap from devil's advocates about the weight and disposal disadvantages of the batteries, at the very least, I voted with my wallet for bringing the green-market tipping point closer to reality. 2. It's a Toyota. These are real cars. The ergonomics are SUCH a pleasure, compared to my thoughtlessly laid out Saturn. 3. At the age of 49, I was bleedin' sick of entry-level cars. I live on an upper-middle-class (except for us) block, amid Hummers, BMWs, Acuras and Volvos, and y'know what? I don't envy ANYONE their car anymore. Not Porsche, Lexus or Beemer owners. My Prius is different in ways that are indisputably important. 4. Last and possibly least: Here on New York's Long Island, our "main artery", the Long Island Expressway, aka US 495, has an HOV Lane, with the all important (to me) "Clean Pass" option. During rush hours Priuses, hybrid Civics and Honda Insights may travel the HOV lane with a single driver. I try not to be mean-spirited, but I can't help giggling a little at the schmohawks in their SUVs sucking wind in the "fast lane". Hmmm...guess I'm not doin' so great at not being mean-spirited.
Just search this Mag Gray club back.... Now I'm officially in! 2008 Prius MGM (Magnetic Gray Metallic) w/Pkg 6. It's color Gray or Grey? Toyota said Gray, but DMV title said Grey.....I'm loving this.
Congratulations and welcome aboard! Brits and other people who spell "color" with a U spell it "Grey". Americans and other people who don't realize a football is round spell it "Gray". Firefox has no problem with "Grey" with an upper-case G, but it flags "grey" as a misspelling.
I found a used 2007 magnetic gray Prius with 19.5K miles for about 20K. I jumped all over it, considering they go for 6-8K more than that new around here.
Count me in, also! Picked up my 2008, Magnetic Gray, Package 6 three weeks ago and haven't stopped smiling.
