I'm curious as to what kind of stuff everyone keeps in the center console.

    So far, I have:
    - Pen
    - Pencil
    - notepad
    - parking pass for work
    - square tissue box
    - umbrella (not sure why - it hardly ever rains here)

Alas, woefully understocked. Prizes awarded for the most creative use of space.

    :)

i have an ipod nano in here with headphones and the aux cord that connects it to the car's audio.

I try to keep my prius pretty clean.. no random bits of paper, etc. There's three mexican blankets in the back, which is probably the strangest thing I have.

    I'm a relative minimalist.
    - The pull-out drawer is empty.
    - The cup holder often has a coffee mug.
    - The console has a phone charger and a headset (I have a bluetooth car but not a bluetooth phone), and a bluetooth phone adapter that's rarely attached to the phone because it doesn't work all that great.
    - The shelf has spare change and a St. Anthony medallion.

That's where I keep the tissue box. Otherwise, the rest of the console has some pens and pencils and a pair of examination gloves just in case I need them. On trips I keep my wallet and cell phone in there, but not for everyday driving.

Swiffer duster for tidying up at red lights - great for a laugh from other drivers/passengers.
Stuffed "Fiona" doll from the Shrek movies - so ugly it would scare small children.
    Connector cord for my iPod.

    Typically. . . .
On the shelf: Spare change, drivers license, Work ID.
Under the shelf: A ziplock bag full of aluminum can tabs.
In front of the shelf: A stack of paper napkins
In the covered cupholder: My cell phone
In the fold down cupholder: a 42oz unsweetened iced tea with lemon
The pull out drawer is empty
The 2 rear cupholders occasionally hold bottled water, but lately have been empty.

Drawer - Microfiber towel to keep display clean and touch-up interior
Cupholders - PDA when being used to play MP3's and a refreshing beverage
Console - Pens in tray, Aux input cord, PDA when not in use.

Car is still too new for me to clutter.

I bought a few plastic containers at Staples (4"x4") to use as dividers. Works great to keep things organized. Also a 2x2 to keep coins.

Junk in my center console: Sound Meter, dual-mode thermometer (remote unit is in hatch box to keep track of how hot the amp gets), charge cables/adapters, pen/pencil to write notes on gas receipts, CD/DVDs, GPS when not in use).

BTW, I'm looking for a combined compass+thermo/baro/altimeter for the car. Does such a device exist? Iknow there are watches with those functions, but I don't wear watches. Any info would be appreciated.

Hey, That is exactly what I keep in my center console. I even have room for a couple cans of Mace!

As they use to tell me in the Boy Scouts - Be Prepared!!!

    I'd suggest pepper spray as a more effective (and legal in most jurisdictions) alternative to Mace. ; -}

Also, I think it's a felony to carry concealed in CA. Of course we're just having fun here, but just in case anyone takes your post seriously...

I keep a square box of Kleenex in my hidden drawer.
When commuting, I keep my travel coffee mug in the main cupholder.
Generally keep bottled waters in the door pockets.
In the main console, I keep my magnetic sunglasses clip-ons (also keep a proper pair of sunglasses in the overhead bin for when I'm wearing my contacts) in the shelf along with some random change and Tic Tacs, and down below I have a bag of scotch mints, my car charger for my PocketPC and my line filter filtering my XM receiver to the Aux-in. B)

I probably have a few other straggling items in there as well, but that's the gist of it.

I have a toddler and an infant in the back seats!

Hidden drawer: packets of hand wipes, box of tissues, microfiber cloth for dash/MFD/inside of windshield.
Console: Tray has my cell phone and my [corded] earpiece.
Underneath has a short hairbrush, and the charger for my cellphone. I think my camera case is in there, too.

The serious mess is the lower glovebox! My Dear Hubby uses it as the stash-all (I found a Vegan Chocolate cookie in there!!)
