I've been a member of an auto insight survey community for about 4-5 months now. They basicly ask you to complete surveys and/or discuss a topic related to cars. I'm not sure who sponsors the site...maybe GM, maybe a cooperative thing, I'm not really sure. Supposedly they use the information gathered to help determine the direction of the auto industry. Some of the things, however, are pretty specific...what kind of cup holders do you like, how many, etc. You earn "points" for completing the various activities. They don't take a lot of time, maybe 20-30min/week. Every month or two they send you a gift certificate to Amazon.com for $10-$25. When I showed that I had some interest in alternative energy vehicles they added me to a private forum for technology/alternative energy and I get more points for participating in that. In any case, I got an e-mail today saying they're looking for more people. If anyone's interested here's the URL: http://www.gongos.com/GP6421/referral.asp if you put my name and e-mail down I get a point for each person who signs up. That's not why I'm posting this so if you don't want to put that down but still want to join that's OK too. the e-mail I use there is evanfusco AT aol.com

Triplicate post. What is going on with Priuschat. I'm not the only one. I've seen triplicates of other posts too.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(Godiva @ Jun 27 2007, 04:06 PM) </div> That's too bad. I hope Daniel and some of our EV owners sign up.
Don't know if the references count or not. If not that's OK with me, I'm not in it for the money, I like having a say in the future of the industry.
YAY!! YAY!! YAY!! YAY!! YAY!! I WIN! I WIN! I'm the only one that got in! Seriously did any one get in besides me?
I don't have a second vehicle. (Umm. You don't think it's because I scored GM highly unfavorable...do you?)
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(Godiva @ Jun 27 2007, 07:46 PM) </div> I scored GM and Ford both pretty unfavorable. My second vehicle isn't in their lists... so, I guess that's why they didn't want me. I hate being unwanted. *snivel*
-BUMP- There was a recent post at the Autoinsight community that they are specifically looking for owners of certain cars. Many hybrids, including the Prius, were on the list. I'm going to post that list here. Please refer to the first post of the thread for information about the community and how to subscribe. I'd appreciate you guys putting me as your referer, but it's not necessary, I just really like the idea of giving my $0.02 in the development of new cars and thought you all might too. <span style="color:black"> Prius Honda Civic Hybrid Honda Accord Hybrid Toyota Camry Hybrid Nissan Altima Hybrid Ford Escape Hybrid Saturn Aura Greenline Saturn Vue Greenline Toyota Highlander Hybrid Honda Insight</span>
Sorry guys, hope none of you applied and got rejected. I should've read the entire thread the moderator (Emily) posted... So, even if you were rejected before but are still interested give Emily and e-mail, tell her I refered you....they really want more people already knowledgeable about alternative energy stuff. Darell, Daniel and you other EV owners..I really hope you guys will consider joining up too as your specific experience will be invaluable.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(efusco @ Oct 9 2007, 05:52 PM) </div> I clicked on the referral link you gave in the OP. But when I saw that they demanded a mailing address I said forget it. I'd be happy to share my opinions with them. But I go to great lengths to reduce the amount of junk mail I get, and giving my mailing address to an outfit I know nothing about seems like a bad idea. However, I will send her an email, and mention you, and if she wants to include me in email surveys I'll participate.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(daniel @ Oct 9 2007, 09:54 PM) </div> I don't remember them insisting on a snail mail addy, but it's been a while since i signed up. Do try the e-mail route. I've gotten no junk mail or spam that I think is connected to this site at all. It's very much on the up and up, they pay the incentives in a timely fashion, they don't bug you when there's not a new forum or dialog to post in, and really seem to be seeking sound information from real people. Be sure to specify that you're writing about the Alternative Propulsion group specifically since that's what they really want 'us' for.
