One of those inexpensive Android Auto tablets looks like a good upgrade but before I buy something, I was hoping one of you would have a recommendation for one that fits well. It would be great to find one that comes with a decent mounting system, perhaps using the CD slot. (I can 3d print parts too but designing a polished mounting system is beyond my current CAD skill level.)

the bad part about that one, you still have to keep the OEM lower radio...

you know, if folks would stop pouring salt on the wounds they would heal and things would be back to the way they were in the first year, but better, shipping out the same day. heh, its funny tho, yall love to make me the punching bag while you sit back and do nothing to even attempt to push the stagnant depressing state of aftermarket goodies for the Prius. all good though, just know when you find out how your foot tastes, I don't want to know about it!

hahahha, talk all this madness but I was the innovating initiator of all of one manufactures parts after lift kits and even EcoHitch mimics my designs. ha! you want to make a wise guy comment about shipping, hahaha when Toyota has a year or more backorder on that heat exchanger part, yet somehow because I'm human that makes it okay for you to take jabs huh. got it! You aren't the brightest crayon in the box are you?

    Why is it bad?
What's wrong with the factory radio that was installed in Gen2?
The radio tunes in, broadcasts channels, plays old CDs, what else should the radio do?
    Crack nuts for breakfast?

personally, I don't want two decade old technology when I can have upgraded sound processors and have my V1 radar indicators appear on the in dash screen. but... that's just me

It's strange that you want to use a car that is over twenty years old, but you don't want to use a radio that was made twenty years ago.

to you.. it sounds like it. I want to use a 20 year old car and breath new life into it by way of installing newer hybrid technology and hopefully more displacement. why be just some normal run of the mill 20 year old car when you can have the heart of a younger 2014 Prius C, or even the 1.8L versus the 1.5L.

The iron body of a car deteriorates faster than everything else in a humid climate.
When you load it with additional weight, it enters the fracture mode even faster.
When you are faced with choosing a car, you should first look at the condition of the bottom of the car, rather than at what radio is playing in this car.

I have close to 1,000lbs added to my car and push it harder than most would and... no fractures...

Don't spend too much. The table will outlive the car
