Wow! I still see the 2017-2022 BMW i3-REx as the best bang for buck if you can live with 4 seats. My 2017 BMW i3-REx cost $15,000 two years ago with ~50k miles. Just finished a 24 hour, 1,140 mi, using $93 in gas and charging. With 106 mi EV range, it is great goin' for groceries car. Bob Wilson ps. I was in Sanford last Tuesday visiting Bear Creek Arsenal and my first (and never again) lunch at "Hunan" (spiked my glucose!) I'll try to announce my next visit to see if we can gather a bunch of hybrid, PHEV, and EV nuts to share a meal . . . where you would recommend. <grins>
Pity you can't get the MG4 EV over there. Doing the rough USD to AUD, it would be around $15,000 new with a range of around 190 mile, and goes up to the MG4 XPower with the motor front and back and goes like just about nothing else you've driven, at around $35,000 over there .... the range depends on your shoe size really, but one you settle down a bit, around 350 mile I believe, both have 1 hr recharge from fully discharged. Fairview Dairy Bar is a favorite of my family. Southern, family run, shared kitchen with a next door co-owned steak house. Daily specials. I'll bet my wife sends me for their Sunday Turkey dinner special in about 2 hours. Not walking distance from a 10+ Tesla charging setup right off Rt 1 but pickup could be arranged. Never seen the Starbucks proximate chargers anywhere near full. Other options: Decent Italian and a new Tai restaurant. Lots of Mexican restaurants. Hybrids are so popular they aren't a cult thing and have never heard of a gathering beyond the 60s hot rod interest. Lillington has a shop with maybe 60 classics under cover for sale I have visited. The demographics of Sanford yields no upscale restaurants. DIL just taking off in her new but used Rav4 prime from Raleigh for Charleston SC followed by her husband in a MY. Their kids and some German exchange students over for 2-3 weeks so both cars required and will be crammed to the gills. PS my email is a well known gmail address. put a period between the names.
This doesn't look much the 60s B I painted Blue Metallic for a high school buddy in his parents garage.Or an older 60s B GT I did some bondo work on for another friend MG Cyberster GT EV Roadster: Past Meets Present priuschat is flagging the direct link www. caranddriver.com / reviews / a64221591 / mg-cyberster-gt-drive/ remove spaces above
They certainly have changed the reliability factor when SIAC bought the name. We bought a poverty pack bottom of the line for our 250km round trip to the capital for specialist visits and there are big hills between here and there. The climb up out of the city takes 10% of the capacity in one hit, but a few ups and downs settles the nerves as the % drop steadies up significantly. I have two crashed ones I bought cheap from a salvage auction, but the rules for getting them back on the road over here are mind numbing. The Prius chucked the dead coolant pump trick of blowing the fuse, I salvage the one out of the Taxi Prius, but the same result 15 mins later ...... couldn't get a replacement in under a week and had to go to the city for my other eye's cataract surgery ..... so we bought the MG4 51 that has an LFP battery ..... it is incredible to drive considering the price difference and will sit on the trailer behind our motorhome to act as a back up power supply with the V2L capability, so we can run the air con day and night if needed, as well as all the other electrical stuff, and recharge it from the solar on the roof of the motorhome ..... serves two purposes and only requires a $300 service every 2 yrs, the fuel is free from the sun Wish the V10 Ford powered Winnebago was the same T1 Terry
Having spent two nights at the Las Vegas Trump International Hotel which has no casino, I know why. For example, the 7th floor room had excellent noise reduction from other rooms and the hallway BUT standing by the window, you could hear people talking on the street. Worse, they had EV charging but only by bribing (aka., "tips") the valet only parking. His business practice, "You get less but you can't pay more." Bob Wilson
Isn't the greatest businessman of all time ..... but maybe not so good on the card tables, lack of practice with "The Art of the Deal"? T1 Terry
Bankruptcy causes: I imagine from a leftists viewpoint it's fun too suggest poor managerial skills - while those on the far right would suggest being too generous with Casino Hotel worker benefits & salaries. On a more serious note, folks are understanding that in science, you have to fail a LOT - to become successful. Consider Thomas Edison quotes; One concept is Outlook; "see it through Jade or Rose Colored Glasses ... our choice" .
I play craps which means I get to talk with the table crew. “too generous” compensation does not describe those I’ve met. Bob Wilson
More than one business has gone down due to excessive personal drawing ...... The fact he gets away with it so many times, and now is in charge of a very big cookie jar, and anyone who was counting the cookies seems to have ended up on the unemployment line, one should be ....... concerned is probably a good term for it ...... Will he bankrupt this business as well ..... time will tell I guess ...... Yet to see if the unelected president survives is the govt can no longer afford to pay the massive contracts he seems to have accumulated ....... T1 Terry

I’m looking for a used Model Y/3 with HW 4.0 but I have no interest in a two seater, robot, semitrailer cab, or a Tesla solar roof (went 3d party with my TSLA profits.) When he starts sleeping at a Tesla factory again, I’ll change my mind. Bob Wilson
Apparently starlink is teaming up with t-mobile. With our existing plan it will only be $10 extra. So if we have an emergency out of cell service, or camping, we can still get a communication out. Haven't figured out how that's going to happen w/out a sat phone. My existing android phone is pretty fast but it's 5 revs back from the latest & greatest & tmo says it'll require at least one rev newer or more. Wonder how much that joint venture will bring into the Tesla Kitty
Starlink is not yet publicly traded so no investment opportunity. My T-Mobile bill runs $52/mo and well covered in town and the highways. I buy used iPhones (this is a 14 that replaced a 7 six months ago.) Bob Wilson
