I have two. The car I drive is the 2011. My wife's car is a 2019 Prime Advanced.

This is a fairly minor complaint in the scheme of things,
but I don't care for the "hot rod sound" the engine makes when I step on the throttle.
I don't know if it's coming from the engine or being produced electronically.
Either way, I'd turn it off if I could.

I'm kindof digging the high pitched whir I get when my Prime is in EV mode and I press on the accelerator.

Me too. The Camry not only has Sport mode but has S on the shifter that fakes fixed gear ratios.

Automatics always had lower gear selection, cause there are uses for them. That is all Toyota's sequential feature is. Would you rather there be 6 to 8 different notches for each one?

On their hybrids, it is B with choice of degrees.

No sport mode, and there likely wouldn't be an Eco mode. Not that I see a need for either, but some like it.

I figured it was for the paddle shifting sport freaks. The Camry does have ECO mode and that is what I use.

Almost certainly that's the high pressure fuel pump on the top of the engine. At lower power levels, the engine uses a blend of port and direct injectors. But at higher power levels, the engine only uses the direct injectors which are supplied by the high pressure fuel pump. It's rather noisy when it fully spools up, so that's probably what you're hearing.

FYI: The main fuel pump delivers about 51-73psi. The high pressure fuel pump delivers 435-725psi. That's why all the high pressure lines are metal. (The numbers are from back when D4-S was introduced, so they may not be exactly what the M20A in the gen5 uses; but they should be close.)

I could definitely do without the obnoxious seat belt warning beep, especially when just moving the car around the drive way or going through a drive-through.

fyi, this mad beeping can be stopped with a Carista OBD device.

Can Carista also change the amount of blinks a half press of the turn signal lever produces?

    Yup, you bet.

However, to make all of these custom changes, carista requires an inexpensive monthly subscription. However, they give you a free month when you buy the device initially.

So, after l bought one, l was able to make all of the changes to our first toyota for free (l canceled the free subscription within 30 days). And l was able to make all of the changes to our second toyota for the price of just one month (as l also canceled within 30 days).

Just killing the seatbelt beeping on all of the driver and passenger seats made this well worth it.

Just buckling up seems a little less Byzantine.

Not to move a car 5 yards on my driveway. Plus, l was able to do a few other needed changes as well. And you only have to do the carista programming changes once in the life of the car, so easy!

What you can do with Carista are changes your dealer can do, and they should do if you request.

The settings section of the owner's manual has tables of what can be changed and how to do it, including the options that are dealer only.
A dealer should make any request changes for no cost at least once. As we know, their service level varies, and I suspect most will refuse anything that imposes liability. Really, just buckle up or ignore the beep when moving parking spaces.

You can't live with a beep for those 5 yards, lol.
Ah, "life". Isn't that the point of seatbelts? Seriously, it's a slippery slope, without that reminder you can start goofing off more, convincing yourself belts not need for a short run, not getting notice if kids in the backseat have slipped off their belts, or never buckled up. But hey, Darwin...

Reverse beep I'm on the same side: it is a pathetic patch for the return-to-centre shifter that gives next to no clue as to which direction you're going to head when you touch the gas, but it's better than nothing. And going the oppositie direction of what you expected can have serious, or deadly, consequences. I know, you're too smart to ever make that mistake.

Sorry, but I like to go full Dutch Uncle on stuff like this, that's me.
