Anyone know why my high beams work but my low beams dont?

odds are good both low beams are burned out.

 

Where did you find a fuse for the low beams? I think of v and gen 3 liftback being similar, and gen 3 doesn't have one, but maybe v does.

Gen 3 liftback has a long white 'integration relay' that powers both low beams and a bunch of other things, and one 40 amp fuse on the supply to that. If that one fuse went open, a bunch of things would stop working.

 

Chapman is right, the low beams are just a 40 amp as shown below

Each low beam has a separate ground so grounding problems are unlikely.


The high beams have their own fuses but in your case they are good.


What does happen is one low beam bulb burns out (H11 type) but it goes unnoticed until the other fails.

 

It remains to be seen whether the car has a DRL module or not. If the module is faulty, then voltage will not reach the lamps.

 

The OP's profile lists his location as the state of Maryland, which is in the USA. The USA version of the Prius does not have DRL.

 

The picture rjparker posted shows the 40 amp P/I 2 fuse that supplies power to the integration relay. That fuse is indeed a three-fer, combined with two brake pump fuses.

What rjparker's picture doesn't show—because this, like it or not, is how Toyota does their diagrams—is everything else that comes out of the integration relay. If you look at the headlights diagram, it just shows you the P/I 2 fuse, and the integration relay, and the headlights. If you look at the horn diagram, you see the P/I 2 fuse, and the integration relay, and the horns. If you look at the defogger diagram, you just see the P/I 2 fuse, and the integration relay, and the defoggers. And so on for everything else the integration relay supplies.

You can't just easily flip to one diagram that shows you all the things supplied by the integration relay. But you can be sure they will all not work if that P/I 2 fuse opens.
