Hi? i am new here, i noticed the coolant was not moving in the reservoir, i had two flash of the over temp on the dash but doesn't stay on. i bought the inverter pump, i drove the car into the garage to change the inverter pump and coolant as well. i disconnected the battery, i removed the inverter completely out to get access to the pump. i removed and replace the pump, connect all the wiring and hoses. add coolant, i tried to start the car, everything turns on but it will not go into ready. the message pop up check hybrid system, pull over, . the dash light icons stays on. i used obd to check, it says no code. prior to doing the replacement of the pump, there was no obd code. please help.

i tried removing the white wire in the fuse box still no start. i need guidance on what to do next.

thank you very much for your wisdom and ideas

If the hybrid system does not start, there is a reason for this.

I have a guess that you did not latch the connectors somewhere.

Your scanner does not see the codes because the hybrid codes are specific and not all scanners can detect and read them.

Did you remove the orange safety plug from the hybrid battery when you worked on the car?

Make sure you slide the lever, step #3. Many people fail to do the last step.

See post #37 in the thread linked in post #6 above.

The Autel AP200 is an excellent choice. It is $60 + tax on Amazon.

car still not starting after removing inverter and replacing the pump. i am still not able to get codes from the vehicle.

there is a terminal at the back of the inverer while i was threading the nut back on to that terminal there was an electrical spark. i forget to disconnect the 12volt battery when i worked on the car. could the spark destroyed the inverter or or fuse. i believe that wire to the inverter is the dc/dc inverter wire.

    Engine not starting?

What does it look like? "Ready" not ?

    Motor generator not turning?

Motor generator turning but internal combustion engine not turning?

Did you buy some kind of device to read codes?

everything include radio turns on. can move into gear and out of gears. but it will not say ready. when i walk next to the car with key in hand and driver door i hear sounds in the hood but will not go into ready and will not move . all else will work just fine. the inverter pump i replaced is not getting power because all the new coolant i added is not suck it like wise the radiator coolant is not being sucked in.
yes motor generator not turning on

My two suggestions are; check for blink codes, make sure you bring a diagram of the two pins that are shorted with you under the dash because you are looking at the ODB2 port upside down and backwards. If you short the wrong pin numbers it can blow a fuse or worse.

The other suggestion is go all the way back and recheck all your work.

Or get the repair manual subscription and read what it says about the work you've said you completed correctly.

hi? the battery read at 13.4 volts. with dr. prius app scanner, it say the pack voltage is 154.75 volts. before the removal of the inverter to replace inverter pump there was no problem or codes beside not seeing the inverter pump movement and flash of hot temp icon. i found these codes p0a0p, p0aod, u0110.

the inverter was replaced with another inverter still the car is giving same error codes and not going into ready . still saying check hybrid. the orange plug was check and put back in no bet pins .

    thank you

This error P0A0D is enough and the Prius will not try to start.

When the power management control ECU detects that a safety device is operated, it will prohibit hybrid system operation or shut off the system main relay. There are three safety devices in three different locations. The first safety device is located at the service plug grip. The second one is located at the frame wire that is connected to the inverter with converter assembly. The third one is located at the inverter terminal cover where the motor cable is connected to the inverter with converter assembly. If the service plug grip, inverter terminal cover, or frame wire is removed, the interlock signal line will be open. If the vehicle is being driven, this condition will be determined to be an open circuit and the system main relays will not be shut off. If the safety devices are re-installed correctly, the system will return to normal when the ignition switch is turned ON (IG).

All connections must be rechecked, including the orange safety connector, which must be correctly inserted and locked into place.

Thank MAx2, the black wire that connect to the back of the inverter terminal on the same where the orange cable enter the inverter, below the orange cable, the black wire attached to the inverter, that is the place where the spark occurred when i was putting back the nut on the terminal. the wire is in a black plastic cover. that inverter has been replaced with another inverter. still no start. that black cable where did it go or where is it attached to? is it attach to the frame or fuse box?

orange plug at the battery is back on solid and connect to the small socket beside it. all the wire and bolt on the inverter are installed and tight.

if you have pictures of the ground safety devices please post them . i located the inverter cover device.it is on one of the cover plate.
