    Apparently there is SOME input from earthlings - as they brought back the stalk. Who knows, Next Generation may have knobs

    Noticed some discussion on Reddit, that Toyota's giving North American dealerships a heads-up about significant supply increase. Believe it when I see it:

    They're essentially a used car lot with Toyota service and parts, for some years now.

    TMMK makes the RAV4, Camry - Lexus ES 350 and 300h.
    The engine plant makes 4 cylinder and V-6 engines.

    TMMK is the only plant I am speaking to - I would have no idea at what capacity or tackt time other Toyota Plants run at these days.

    Well the RAV4 recently displaced the Ford F-150 as the best-selling vehicle in America, so that's probably a lot of the output right there

    Couldn't say, because those aren't legally trucks like the RAV4 and the F-150.

    But as far as so-called trucks go, the RAV4 is on top.

    In bowling such polarized sales leaders, would be called "bed posts". Talk about strange bedfellows too...

    model 3; 529,000 & change.

    So, now we are calling the RAV4 a truck? The better ½ knows the F-150 out sells their competition. Told her there's an article claiming another truck is now number one so she guessed chevy? I said no, rav4. Her comment, "that's not a truck".LOL
    Her point is, "that's a stretch".
    Kind of in the sense of saying this Suzuki is an SUV;

    Screenshot_2025-02-19-06-47-45-82_680d03679600f7af0b4c700c6b270fe7.jpg

    At least its less disingenuous calling the Subaru Brat a truck, because it has a bed & a payload capacity over 1.5 tons. She remembers the definition pickup truck was truncated to say truck but ..... it had the same meaning or understanding.
    As little as my better ½ knows pickup trucks, she knows payload capacity & a bed in the back. RAV4 has neither.
    But sure it's the best selling truck.

    They are not even built on truck chassis any more. When I got married, my wife owned a 1979 dodge RamCharger utility vehicle, a predecessor of the SUV, It was built on a pickup truck chassis & classed as a truck. SUVs were initially developed off car or minivan chassis..

    Since the roof on the RamCharger was removeable, would that class it as having a truck bed? LOL We never removed it but, I understand, if we did, we would need to replace the weatherstripping. It was originally bought to tow horse trailers.
