Prius Chat, I have a 2010 Gen 3 Prius, and I need rear struts. My question to the group is on the rear suspension are coil spring insulator (48257-52010) and coil spring insulator (48258-52030) the right parts?

Yes. These parts are used in Gen3 suspension.

Not sure how they'd be incorrect they're coming from the parts breakdown and I would think you wouldn't be replacing those individually you buy a strut assembly or a shock assembly for the rear they're cheap like that now You don't want to spend real money on stuff on a generation 3 like this no shocks should be about $68 a pop or 102 or whatever it is a pair for 105 they're nothing special don't get carried away buying top of the dome stuff KYB Mulholland suspension Bilstein none of that is needed here unless you just enjoy that kind of spending for whatever reason he won't really notice it on the car most people don't anyway on any car especially not going back and forth to work and having a life anyway so beware of that you'll get all this done and then the next major hurdle will be with this car and well it comes on very quickly most people don't ever notice the rear shocks going bad so you either got a huge amount of miles live on a dirt road something I've been in these cars with 395,000 mi on it with the original shocks in the front and rear pretty uneventful to be honest about it but yeah I would say those insulator rubber pieces are what go on the assembly I'm sure you could make others fit but I'm not sure what the point would be.
