Bad misfires on cylinder #4 on the third test drive of 20 miles. New Denso coils & plugs gapped to 1.0mm and the engine is now performing very well. It has more than completed the emission cycle with passing grades.

I know it was an old post, but the rod on the left is the new one, so pretty sure it's straight.

So the engine ran good for two twenty mile test drives until a plug or coil failed on test drive three?

The first two test drives were identical route 6 mile drives. I would get Cyl#1 misfires on code reader but no engine shake, etc...

I let my wife drive it on a 20 mile route for a work appointment and she said about halfway through the engine started shaking, etc... Once the car returned home I removed the plugs and plug #4 was wet with fuel! Since replacing the plugs and coils I've driven it about 100 miles with no misfire codes.
