If I'm replacing the front bumper and panels on my Prius V, does it have to come from another Prius V or will regular Prius body panels work as well? My teenager got into a fender bender and a friend offered to replace the panels if I can find them used and the used ones I see in the correct years are only Prius, not V.
There is a difference in the models of the first 2011-2014 and after 2014. Compare these images with your car. Part numbers in the catalog. Post some pictures? Would be good to remove the front bumper, see if there's more to it than meets the eye. Do you have collision insurance?
I do have collision insurance but the $1000 deductible makes me reluctant to go to a shop for a 10 year old car that I'm going to end up giving to the same child who damaged it! I'd rather take the $1100 check from the insurance company and look for used parts and helpful friends and not be out of pocket in expenses. Pictures attached. Thank you for your knowledge--your karma for helping a single mom of twin 16 year old drivers will be rewarded I'm sure!!!
