Black front emblem for 5th gen?

You talking about the chrome Toyota emblem on the bonnet? If you are, Ali Express do decent quality ones for about £12 ($15)

 

Anyone found a black emblem kit for the gen5 steering wheel toyota emblem? Would love to get that one blacked out.

Replacement for the chrome one. Mine's on it's way. Never had any issues with these on different cars.

I am looking to make the front emblem black as well, not sure what the best, cost effective and easiest option is for this. Which ones have people had luck with one here? The etsy one is way more expensive than the aliexpress one posted here. Can someone confirm the size for the new prius front emblem? They are listed from 11cm to 16cm on ali.

 

Plastidip/Hyperdip/Metallic dip. I went with metallic blue on mine as a trial and it was fairly easy to do. Clean, tape out what you don't want to paint, do multiple coats and call it a day.

 

Now that there's a Nightshade Edition of the Prius, it's probably best to just order that one. Should cost around $20-$25 from reputable online Toyota dealers. I don't know the part number, but a dealership parts department should be able to help there. Might not be available quite yet(because the Nightshades are just starting to hit the US), but it should be coming within the next month or three if it's not available now.

 

Does the nightshade edition by chance have a blacked out steering wheel emblem?

 

Not according to the visualization options at Toyota.com.

 

This is what I was hoping for as opposed to ordering from etsy(70$) or alliexpress(not sure about size offered or quality). Also not a fan of plastidip as it may need to be redone over time.

Has anyone ordered from the alliexpress link above? Just wondering what size we should be ordering for the Prius as they range from 11-16 cm. I may go this route or etsy if toyota does not offer the nightshade emblem soon as I want to get it done as soon as possible.

 

I did some digging and it should be available right now. For some reason the parts catalog doesn't have the black front emblem linked to the Prius, but it turns out the Prius and bZ4X use the same front emblems, and the latter has a black emblem in the system.

I was able to find the blacked out emblem part numbers for everything but the AWD and XLE badges(the Nightshade only comes in HEV XLE trim).
