I am rebuilding a 1.8L Prius Engine and the Main Bearing Caps I had set out in order accidentally got knocked around. Can anyone tell me what direction the caps are supposed to go? Thanks for any help in advance.
I have to go out and look at a set that's not a direction look at your joint that you want to put it on in the engine You see the little cut out where the bearing goes the other cut out goes on the opposite side on the other end as do each of the bearing caps the one in the center sometimes has thrust bearing plates that go on each side of the cap. They may or may not be stamped I don't remember I haven't had that many of these engines apart but I do know that when they go down on the studs the cap cutouts on opposite ends
